Following the buyout and subsequent consolidation with the Galactic Wrestling Federation, Outer Rim Wrestling is the premier professional wrestling entertainment promotion in the galaxy. Owned and operated by Alex Draconis, ORW is devoted to providing galactic-quality displays of action and athleticism while also maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety for its wrestlers. While based out of the Parjai Arena at the Hotel Tome'tayl at Hod Haran's Folly, ORW is a travelling act putting on events at arenas and venues all across the galaxy.
Business Operations
Outer Rim Wrestling operates as an independent company owned by Alex Draconis, to provide entertainment around the galaxy as well as promote the athletic and performance art of professional wrestling. All wrestlers in the organization are provided a base salary, with additional bonuses provided for promotional work and tasks outside their performances at events and in the ring. Additionally, all wrestlers are provided a 30% cut of merchandising involving their character and likeness (this cut is divided for merchandise involving multiple performers) and an option is provided for wrestlers either retiring or leaving the company to negotiate a buy out for the IP of their ring persona.
A comprehensive healthcare plan is provided for the wrestlers in order to keep them in fighting shape, including nutrition and fitness programs sponsored by the organization. A financial advisor is kept on staff for the organization to provide advice and work with the performers to ensure a strong financial future; in pursuit of this same goal, ORW provides an opt-in company-matched retirement plan with bonus contributions from the organization for every 5 years of service.
All wrestlers are given the option to join a union organized in conjunction between performing arts and athletic organizations, with scheduled annual negotiations between the union and the organization regarding salary, benefits, and other employment-related matters. While ORW doesn't directly encourage or discourage its wrestlers in regard to the union, they do provide full transparency on dealings with the union to all wrestlers upon request.

Baro Bokko
|
An up-and-coming talent in ORW, Baro is a tweener whose style is best described as a "Hardcore Bruiser." He thrives in the chaos of close-quarters combat, and combines crushing strikes, arena-shaking throws, and relentless pressure with a willingness to use weapons to vicious effect. A tweener supposedly raised in the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk, Baro is a hal-Lurmen, half-Wookiee powerhouse.

This page is to layout the OOC aspects of the Outer Rim Wrestling promotion, and also some advice and guidelines about how to hold ORW matches.
OOC Information
- The Outer Rim Wrestling promotion is run, OOC, by the Commissioner (Bograt). If you have any questions, concerns, ideas or suggestions regarding ORW please reach out to him either via e-mail or on Discord to discuss them.
- The ORW is open to anyone and everyone to take part in. You don't need to make a separate character sheet to engage in activities - it's important to remember that within the context of ORW you're playing a character who is playing a character. Maintain kayfabe!
Match Guidelines
There are three primary ways to run ORW matches/events. These are as an ACC match, as a 1:1 RP, or as an open RP (allowing for audience participation and interference from other wrestlers).
For all forms of matches, it is important to remember that at its core the Outer Rim Wrestling promotion is about sports entertainment. While foreign objects do sometimes become involved, the majority of combat in and ORW match should be focused on a pro wrestling-style. This means most matches are going to primarily involve the Martial Arts, Athletics, Might, Stamina and Resolve Skills as well as any Feats or Force Powers that interact with or enhance those.
By all means get creative and find ways to incorporate other Skills, Powers and Feats into the scope of a match, but things like blasters, bombs, and zapping your opponent with Force Lightning are highly discouraged. Remember, at the end of the day, fans are putting asses in seats to see an athletic display of wrestling entertainment, not somebody stand in one place while they TK throw their opponent around the ring for 10 minutes.
It is encouraged to set up a unique loadout for your character specifically for ORW matches that does not have things like blasters, explosives, etc. on it. Armor is allowed, but can often be as much of a downside as it is an upside. Getting suplexed while wearing chainmail hurts, I promise you.
ACC Matches
- ORW ACC matches should be set up with the following guidelines:
| Hall |
Duelist
|
| Venue |
Any venue is possible, but the match does take place in a ring built wherever the match may be at. Yes, no matter how little sense this makes.
|
| Match Style |
Either is acceptable, though Singular Ending is encouraged.
|
| Post Count |
Minimum of 6 posts. The first post from each combatant should be "Cutting a Promo", so setting up the stakes and reason for the match. The remaining posts consist of the match itself and, at the decision of the writers, any aftermath of the match.

- People can and are encouraged to run tournaments using ORW match rules as well, reflecting larger events or tournament matches.
- The judgement of the ACC match does not necessarily determine who won the ORW match - remember, in-universe the storyline is more important than who the better RL writer is.
1:1 RPs
- As with any RP, any dice system used should be done at the agreement of the people involved.
- This style allows for somewhat more freeform construction than an ACC match: there can be interaction while promos are being cut, confrontations backstage, etc.
- There technically doesn't even need to be an in-ring match involved in this format. 1:1 RPs for ORW can be used to build storylines between wrestlers and develop ongoing conflicts, partnerships, and plots.
- By their nature as collaborative efforts, 1:1 RPs for ORW should be considered DMless - the progression of events should be at the agreement between both writers.
- While it is listed as "1:1", this format can also be used just as well for 2:2 tag team matches.
Open RPs
- These are larger scale events, which can often involve multiple wrestlers as well as non-wrestler participants (audience, ORW staff, etc.)
- These can be run as either DMed or DMless; if you choose to run an ORW event in this style you should at least provide some guidance as to the overall intent of the RP.
- While it can be technically possible to have multiple ORW matches running at once in this format, it is encouraged for the sake of readability to try to avoid this. It can get confusing to participants and later readers very easily if there are multiple fights occurring at once. That being said, if you are involved in a match in this format it is encouraged to try to keep the match moving and resolve in a reasonable time to allow for others to get in matches - unless the intent of the RP is to highlight a single match.
- While audience and/or other wrestler interference with an ongoing match is easily possible in this format, it is encouraged to discuss doing so in the OOC thread for the RP before just jumping in. Again, the ORW is all for the sake of entertainment and telling storylines.
All Formats
- Once an ACC Match or RP is completed, please inform the Commissioner (Bograt) with a link to the match or RP log so it can be included on the main ORW wiki page, in order for people to keep up on the ongoing events of ORW.
- If you have an ORW storyline you're developing with one or more other wrestlers, please keep the Commissioner (Bograt) in-the-loop about it, so he can be sure to help drive it in any official ORW fiction updates.
All wrestlers included on this page are NPCs, available for use in promos, matches, and any other ORW activities. They can be assumed to have anywhere from +1 to +3 in relevant Skills (Might, Stamina, Resolve, Athletics, Martial Arts) and little else. Unless otherwise noted (under 'Discipline') these wrestlers do not have any access to the Force.
