The Nifokalija Continent
To this day, the continent of Nifokalija remains principally unexplored. The persistent electrical storms and gravitational distortions make air transport unwieldy at best, and at worst lethal. This made civilian colonisation impossible. Even automated probe droids have only mapped individual regions of the continent, with the mountain range still an unknown.
What little is known of Nifokalija comes from the large pyramidal temple known simply as The Bastion that is located in the jungle that surrounds the mountain. It was from the stories engraved into the walls of the temple that the original scouts sent there before the Exodus learned the name Nifokalija—the name that was then allocated to the entire landmass.
Little else is known of the Bastion. Following the Exodus, it originally served as a shelter for House Primus Goluud, and years later it was reclaimed by House Ludo Kressh under the leadership of Malisane de Ath. In both cases, however, the house that has called the Bastion home later collapsed, and some have speculated if the Bastion and Nifokalija are cursed…
