Growing up on Corellia
Born to an ex-girlfriend of Dante's, Kyle grew up on Corellia at the end of the Empire and the beginning of the New Republic. He new nothing about his father as his mother had just assumed that Dante had been killed during the many battles at the downfall of the Empire, and she just told her son that his father had died during the war. His mother's side of the family had ended up supporting the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, and his mother worked her way up in the administrative bureaucracy of the Corellian government without paying much attention to her son. Kyle spent most of his days in a variety of military boarding schools where he excelled in both his academic and martial studies. He applied to the Corellian Security Forces Academy at age 16 and was accepted just as the First Corellian Insurrection began. Thrust into battle as a cadet, Kyle proved himself in the fighting during 18 ABY. Shortly thereafter, he was offered a place in the New Republic Starfighter Corps, and Kyle hastily accepted as he wanted to go out into the galaxy and be away from the isolationist Corellian society.
Service to the New Republic
Serving as a pilot from 19-28 ABY, Kyle saw the worst of the fighting against the Vong. Initially assigned to the 1st Battle Group, he spent much of his time patrolling the area around Coruscant with the exception of the occasional rotation out to Thunder Alley. Eventually he was placed in the 5th Battle Group just before the start of the Vong conflict where he served as a wing intelligence officer.
When the Vong launched their crusade into New Republic space, he requested a transfer back to the First Battle Group, but it was denied repeatedly until after the near destruction of that force at the First Battle of Fondor in late 25 ABY. For the remainder of the war, Kyle flew with the First Battle Group against the Vong. Luckily, he managed to survive those horrible years, and, as hostilities closed, the Major felt that it was time to retire from the active fleet.
In 29 ABY, he retired from the New Republic, bought a small freighter, and headed back to Corellia to find work as a pilot.

Description
Kyle has blondish-brown hair and blue eyes. His height is above average for a human, and his build is very thick and athletic. He has no disfigurements, and his only birthmark is a mole on his right leg.
Demeanor and Philosophy
The longtime pilot is very laid back and very tough to anger. The time spent training pilots for over a decade has made him able to control himself except under the most extreme circumstances.
