Character History
Corran Yu was born 36 years before the battle of Yavin on Corellia. Corran Yu is known by most people as just simply Yu. Yu grew up in a traditional Corellian family, at a young age, like most Corellian boys, he was thought how to fly, but sadly and to his parents dismay, Yu showed little aptitude for piloting, but even at an early age should great paternal dealing with military tactics and business, Yu was vary charismatic. As the years went on Yu started to work on his families farm, working in the fields and aiding his father with the business side of the farm. When the Clone Wars start, Yu was about 18 years old, Corellia had already invoked Contemplanys Hermi, which gave the Corellian sector meditative solitude, Yu joined the militia shortly there after.
The relative peace on Corellia did not last long as the near by planet was engulfed in conflict. Corellia was spared from any heavy combat and invasion, as the CIS fleet bypassed Corellia and made there way strait to Coruscant. Yu made his way up in rank to captain in the local militia, and was recruited for CorSec, Yu turned CorSec down. CorSec, being a predominantly hereditary organization, it would have been a great honer for anyone to receive a letter of recruitment form them. As the clone wars came to an end, and the news of Palpatine proclaiming himself emperor and reorganization the Republic into an the Empire and of an Jedi "rebellion” reached Yu he and many others joined up with an underground resistance movement that was anti-Palpatine and anti-imperial lead by Garm Bel Iblis.
Yu took part in many gorilla attacks on imperial interest on Corellia, after some time, the Corellian resistance gave birth to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Corran Yu, already leading a resistance cell, was offered a commission with the Alliance army but he turned it down as well, Yu did not really want to leave his home planet, and besides that he was getting tired of all the fighting. After Yu's last tour of duty, he retired from the warrior life and took up his place on his families farm, with his business wise mind he was able to make some decisions that turned out vary well and expanded the small 10 acre farm to a 75 acre plantation. About 20+ years later, Yu was visiting Coronet City to hire workers from the refugee and workforce center there in Coronet.
It is there Yu met Habib and his wife K'nah, Yu offered them transport, lodging and board for working on his plantation, Habib accepted the offer and then shortly later Habib and his wife arrived in the tropical equatorial belt of Corellia and started there life there on Yu's Plantation. Yu and Habib become good friends over time, and Yu, eventual, made Habib assistant manger of his plantation and even gave Habib his own land to work as a subdivision of the larger business. Yu was sad to see Habib leave on his personal journey for information about his past, but he did understand how important it was to Habib and his pregnant wife. Yu guaranteed Habib and his family would always have a place there and that he would extend his protection over Habib's family while he was gone.
