Xora Zorrixor was the sister of Xanos Zorrixor and daughter of Haxim Zorrixor and Maziel Zorrixor. Her brother believed her to have died in 1 ABY at the hand of an Inquisitor named Arystul Deyal but discovered Xora had survived decades later in 26 ABY.

Xora became a Jedi Knight hoping to track her brother down in the years before the Yuuzhan Vong War. After encountering Xanos on Yavin 4, Xora and her brother traveled to Falleen where she hoped he would help her rescue her foster family. Instead, Xanos turned on her, attempting to steal her ship. Xora realized he had fallen to the dark side but the pair were captured by a group of passing warriors before either could act. Taken captive, Xora was tortured in the Embrace of Pain. Together with her brother and a Dark Jedi named Vykan she helped devise an escape plan. However, Xanos betrayed her, leaving her to die rather than risk having her go back and reveal his existence to the Jedi.

Xora survived, eventually managing to escape on her own. She returned to the Jedi to inform them her brother had fallen to the dark side. However, the Jedi feared Xora was allowing her bitterness to consume her, and Renko Yast and Taraeis Alaveil decided to head in search of Xanos instead, the latter still believing her old Master can be brought back to the light. Xora resented the vote of no confidence and the Jedi fear they may lose her to the dark side like many others during the war if Renko and Taraeis are unsuccessful.
