XP Policy

This Xp policy outlines how a member can earn XP in the experience system. This policy is approved by the Grand Master and is enforced for integrity by the Dark Council.

Medal Awarding

Medals will be awarded based on XP earned since the last medal, plus any non-site-tracked activity (project, leadership.) Medals do no “consume” XP, but do reset the member’s XP-since-last-medal.

Leaders can award medals with a value less than or equal to a member’s accrued XP-since-last-medal without further justification. Medals with a value less than or equal to accrued XP-since-last-medal do not grant XP to the receiving member.

If a member has non-site-tracked activity that leaders want to recognize with a medal, with or without site-tracked activity, they will submit a medal recommendation for approval by the MAA detailing what that member has done – much like the current system.

If the approved medal exceeds the member’s accrued XP-since-last-medal, then the medal will grant XP equal to the difference between the medal’s value and the member’s accrued XP-since-last-recognition.
