The House that Kast Built

Callus Fen Kast was born in 41 bby on Corellia. He was the heir to a proud family of family of Aristocrats destined for bigger politics. When the Empire took Corellia, He was forced to take the fortunes his family had built up and join forces with the Empire. Soon forced by the very same Imperial pressures, he enlisted in the science schools of the Empire. He studied for years and was allowed to freely roam the galaxy in exchange for technological advances. While venturing to Reecee, he encountered my mother. Like a fairy-tale he fell madly in love with her, almost instantly. Callus followed the strange woman to the ends of many worlds. By the fall of the Empire, Callus was an accomplished scientist specializing in the field of repulsor technology and mechanized docking actuators. Just before my birth my father began working for the Imperial Navy Experimental Divisions, his work led to a division in the relationship he had with my mother.

Aylanna Sokane was a clever Dathomiri/Hapan woman with excelling skills in seduction and flowing with connections to the Force. Her birth date is unknown, judging from her looks it appears to be somewhere around 14 BBY. Her youth is deceptive, however. With the aid of cosmetics and the like, she has maintained a look of a woman in her mid Thirties. This adds in part to her sex appeal and shockingly intimidating nature. The woman is shrewd as well. Secretly learning the ways of the Dark Side, she borders on being called a Sith. Though she was considered a Witch by her native peoples, she always considered herself as part of the higher class of peoples. She was an extreme socialite, often visiting galas in the greater parts of the galaxy. In the time she was not engaging in the upperclass, she spent it teaching and shaping a veritable army of young and force sensitive women. She lead them about the galaxy, investigating planets and leaving their men dead in the streets. Under modern comparision, she would be revered as an Amazon priestess, comforted only by the embraces of her womanly companions. In the Reecee System, She encountered Callus Kast, the wealthy scientist from Corellia. She devoted a great deal of time to taunting and luring him into her traps. She had planned on killing him, like most of her lovers when she learned about Callus' fortune. Instead of pressing her to kill him, it encouraged her to marry him. This is a startling fact because she is a misogenist like most Dathomiri.

Heralding from a curious line of Force philosophers who are from the darker regions of space, she lived a mostly lonely childhood in the Hapes Consortium. In her late teens she left the region and traveled to the Reecee system. After meeting a collage of “interesting” male companions, she began a small philosophical group dedicated to reviving the lost Force arts. She surrounded herself with a harem of young women, who studied under her. Often, she would invite men to the group for nights of hedonism. A traveling man once visited the group during a stay with a friend. In an instant, the man fell in love with the group’s leader. After several years and many planet relocations, the two came to settle on Bakura and were wed shortly there after. In spite of the wedding, Aylanna kept young women about the villas and mansions her husband owned, for her own personal court. The couple settled down and had a child, Shir'Ciri. They remained comfortable in the shadows of the Empire in pre invasion Bakura. My mother disappeared for several years, leaving my father to work in his laboratory uninterupted. Upon her return, she once again subjugated her mate under her power and consummated her return. Around 8 months later, I was born a completely healthy and developed child, pre-maturely according to the time frame of my parent’s relationship. Though my father was oblivious, my mother spent her time meditating and developing her newborn son. Deeply jealous and suspicious of her husband, she began grooming her son into a pillar of the Dark. She displayed a strange breed of love, confusing me with her cryptic lessons and , she bred me into a somewhat more conscious Sith. Always keeping young women around the household during my teenage years was her desperate attempt to keep me from leaving her home, and to learn her ways. Though wary of my actions, she trusts that the Force will lead everything along its path bringing her plan into fruition, thus she does not fear any repercussion. The extent of teachings is not known to this day, her secrets were held in a force sealed box that is to remain unopened until her son could muster enough of her own betrayed emotion to open it. My mother saw it fit to be the coldly cruel to me, redirecting her own loss of the feeling of love into a scathing blame of a young child.

Aylanna became pregnant after being raped by her husband, who assaulted her in a drunken rage. Through a matter of coincedences, five year old Thran observed it. It has scarred him emotionally and mentally. For no apparent reason, Aylanna took this son, named Torak, and loved him very much. This bred animosity and many other evil feelings with the young Derc. Aylanna had never revealed Derc's name to him. He was growing to be a larger child, but he was mute, scarred by everything that had happened. Derc remained mute until into his teen years, where his mother's Handmaiden Jenny'ri Sanniran took him in and sheltered him from the rest of the malicious maiden group. Likewise, she had never heard the boy's name before. When she inquired of him, he replied with a single word "Thran". He had taken the name from a story he had overheard, but it had stuck with him. From that point on, he began calling himself Thran.
