"Power only seen in the darkness."
―Motto of the Shadowseers

The Shadowseers are a sub-faction of The Children of Mortis.

Purpose

The Shadowseers are a secretive and ritualistic sect of The Children. Dedicated to the dark arts, occult usage, and animalistic features of the Force. Volatile, their hierarchy often changes, based on internal power struggles. The Shadowseers are home to the largest spy and future divining components of The Children.

Organization

The Shadowseers work under the oversight of The Seer in the Darkness. They are known to be comprised of three main groups, as well as a number of undeclared Acolytes. They are violent, passionate, and prone to indulgence, yet their dedication to the unchaining of the Force is absolute.

The Seer in the Darkness

The Seer in the Darkness is a title that has been passed down for generations to whoever is deemed powerful enough to control the chaotic streams of the Shadowseers. The current Seer is also known as Rose Telsniw, a human female who has led the Shadowseers for centuries.

While completely devoted to The Children, and the command of The Father, The Seer is the least predictable of all The Children’s leadership. A strong user of ritualistic means, she has extreme satisfaction in the suffering of others to further her goals. Despite this cruel streak, she is often playful and prone to teasing and flirting.

The Fateweavers

The Fateweavers are the Children’s secret weapon, a group devoted to divining future events. It was due to the Fateweavers that The Children went into greater hibernation during the downfall of the Republic, and the Rise and Fall of the Empire. Led by The Loom, with support from The Reed, The Shuttle, and The Heddle, the Fateweavers are rarely seen outside of their ritual chambers. A volatile group, membership is frequently purged for incorrect divinations.

The Shadebreeders

The Shadebreeders are one of the most terrifying of the Children’s disciples. Incharge of the processing sentients for ascension, the conversion from flesh to pure crystal, they are also the overseers of the research of the Dark Side of the Force. Their crystalline research, while ritualistic, is focused on the unification of crystal with organic beings to create horrifying monstrosities. They are led by The Matron, with support from The Infuser, The Propagator, and The Handler.

The Nightfallers

The Nightfallers are the smallest group of The Children. Spies, and direct recruiters of the Dark Side (often through capture, and enslavement), The Nightfallers strike from the shadows and vanish without a trace. They are led by The Duskbringer, with support from The Listener, The Twilight, and The Whisper.

Dominion

The Shadowseers are headquartered on Urikoth, of the Urikoth system in the Unknown Regions. Urikoth is a planet-wide nexus of Dark Side energy, with a darkened sky, swamps, quagmires, and bogs. Many crystalline creatures live on the planet, due to generations of effort by the Shadebreeders.

Their base of operations is known as Morgul Citadel, which houses all of the Shadowseers. The Seer herself takes up residence in a cave on the main grounds of the Citadel.

Granted Feat

The following feat is granted to any member of the Shadowseers:

Devil’s Sight

As a member of *The Shadowseers*, {{member}} has learned to live in the shadows. Molded by the darkness, they have developed Force-enhanced vision, allowing them to see clearly even in pitch darkness.
