Suggestions from the Staff
Understand the reason for wanting this, but firgured I might let you in on something you may not have known about and can do in the future if it works well for you.
If you go to the history of a page, e.g. Orian Assembly's History, you can click on a date a date to see that page as it was during that revision (and you can even link to it: Orian Assembly @ 20:53, 12 October 2014)
This lets you load the page as it was on that date, and you can even edit the page to see the syntax behind things.
So instead of copy pasting the syntax, you could make a note of (and link to) the relevant revision on the talk page.
