History

The Svolten system is located in the Sith Worlds Region of the Outer Rim Territories. The system served as an invaluable resource to the Sith Empire due to its natural resources and close proximity to the Descri Wris hyperlane. Stripped clean of pressure metals and natural gasses, the system was left largely uninhabited following the reign of the Sith Emperor.

The third planet within the system known as Svolten was utilized as a mining planet for the Sith Empire. Azsure blue oceans, tropical rocky land masses, and white sands gave the planet the appearance of a tropical paradise, but in reality it was toxic for nearly all humanoid species. A noxious atmosphere, constantly shifting tectonic plates, and frequent hurricane conditions wracked the planet. Various forms of flora and fauna throughout the planet held predatory instincts and were fatal to most species across the galaxy.

The lone form of civilization on the planet was found on offshore drilling platforms that ripped natural resources from the ocean floor. Aspiring Sith Empire citizens sought out work on the dangerous platforms for their high credit paying jobs. Many who travelled to work on the platforms never left the planet.

In 3,704 BBY an offshore mining platform located in the southern hemisphere of Svolten encountered a new deposit of an unknown ore. Shortly after the discovery, the platform was commandeered by Sith Acolytes and Priests. The crew of the platform was never heard from again and communications to the facility were cut off.

In 36 ABY, the One Sith began incursions within the Svolten system seeking out remnants of the One Sith Empire’s secrets. A small force of acolytes have ventured to the surface of Svolten and are currently establishing a temporary platforms at the last known location of the 3,704 lost offshore facility.

Geography

Svolten is largely covered in large blue oceans, tropical islands, and rocky outcroppings. The planet is littered with ancient mining equipment and the remains of several offshore facilities exist in states of various ruin. Due to the planet’s noxious atmosphere, oxygen breathing species are required to wear breathing apparatuses. Near humanoid species are also required to wear full body suits due to the noxious nature of ocean water, rain, and local plant life.

Points of Interest

Mining Facility 37

Mining Facility 37 discovered an unknown substance in the southern hemisphere of Svolten. Following the report of their discovery, the crews upon the facility were murdered by Sith Empire Acolytes and Priests. Shortly following the discovery in 3,704 BBY, the facility was rigged with demolitions and partially destroyed.

In 36 ABY, One Sith personnel discovered the location of the partially destroyed mining facility and have erected a temporary platform in its place. New equipment and more permanent structures are under construction with the hope of resuming drilling within the next month.

The facility is guarded by anti-air batteries, ocean based mines, and multiple military personnel.

The One Sith

Drand Powern

Drand Power is a lifelong Soldier and a Force sentient leading the One Sith forces on Svolten. Relying more on his military training than his connection to the Force, Drand is a Soldier’s Soldier who is respected and feared by his men. Trained in the prestigious Storm Commandos, Drand left the Imperial Special Forces following the fall of Endor. Drand went on to work as a bounty hunter and military contractor working for various governments across the galaxy before eventually being recruited by the One Sith.

Calm, rational, and dangerous, Drand Powern is a rising star within the One Sith. Known for his strategic decisions and judgment under fire, Drand is a capable opponent.

Drand Powern is an Elder level combatant and military strategist. He is on the short list for the position of Fist within the one Sith.

Drand’s Forces

Drand Powern has recruited heavily from within the ranks of former members of the Imperial Special Forces. Drawing from Storm Commandos, Intelligence Personnel, and demolition experts, he has developed a formidable private army. Drand’s forces are on par with the Imperial Special Forces and are battle tested against Force sensitives.
