Sith Sword of Shar Dakhan

History

This alchemical Sith Sword was used by Shar Dakhan, first under the rule of Sith Lord Marka Ragnos, and later under Naga Sadow. The weapon was forged by Dakhan as a test of ascension to lesser Sith Lord status.

Later, one of the Sith Arts Academy expeditions from Thule in the ancient times recovered it from Shar Dakhan's tomb on Korriban. The Sword was brought to the Sith Museaum in Hurom on the planet Thule as a cultural relic.

Anaxela wielded this artifact-level Sith sword from the time of Marka Ragnos. She stole it from the museum on Thule in the city of Hurom. It is currently in her possession.

Appearance

The sword appears as a finely crafted swept-basket hilt blade, narrowing to a tapered tip. The 1.4 M blade weighs about 6.5 kg. the blade is polished to a mirrored finish, with strange mottling and weaving dark patterns in the blade. One ancient Sith scholar from Thule that examined it noted that the patterns seem to change when not directly observed. It requires great strength of body as well as serious abilities in the Force to successfully wield the weapon in combat.

Properties

It can deflect blaster bolts, particle beams, and lasers, is unnaturally sharp, and is effective against lightsabers. With increasing Dark Side knowledge by the wielder, the sword could manifest some minor dark side power enhancing abilities. This weapon serves as a focus for the dark energies of its wielder, amplifying their power and refining their control of Dark Side abilities and skills. It can also absorb Force Lightning attacks, allowing the energy to be used by the wielder for other Dark Side powers. The weapon has a strong presence in the Dark Side, and has killed lesser Journeymen wielders that could not control it. It drank their energy and left them dried out husks.
