Born of a culture thousands of years old, the group Ordo's Mercenaries is a loosely affiliated group of warriors, the majority of whom are derived from Clan Ordo. Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Darasuum

Nearly twice the age of those who serve on it, the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser Darasuum has gradually become the lead command ship for Ordo's Mercenaries by way of simple survival and longevity. Battered durasteel welded on top of more battered durasteel make the Darasuum not only slow but quite ugly to look at. Nevertheless, a combination of nostalgia and unquestionable dependability cast a different light on how Ordo's Mercenaries view the aged ship. Many who are not deployed upon it wish they were, and few who are wish they were not.

Beyond providing a headquarters for naval command, the Darasuum also serves as a heavy hitter in ship-to-ship confrontations. The ship's armaments have gone through several overhauls, the current configuration being 15 Heavy Turbolasers, 15 Turbolasers, 10 Quad laser cannons, and a pair of Concussion Missile Launchers. Another modification, though common, was that of extensive upgrades to the ship's control systems, getting rid of the need for massive amount of crew members. Lastly, the Darasuum is also home to the Gra'tuar, a squadron of StarViper-class Fighters piloted by only the most gifted starfighter pilots in Ordo's Mercenaries.

Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Parjai

Originally purchased in a failed attempt to replace the Darasuum, the Parjai is also a Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser manufactured at the tail end of the Dreadnaught's prime. An impressive list of upgrades and technological advancements, however, could not prevail against the Ordo Mercenaries' love for the Darasuum. Nonetheless, the Parjai has served admirably as a very capable sister ship, its advanced sensor packaging and more nimble maneuverability helping to offset some of the Darasuum's weaknesses.

The upgraded Dreadnaught's original armaments have thus far been left unchanged, leaving it with 20 Light quad turbolaser cannons, 15 Turbolaser batteries, and 15 Turbolaser cannons. The Parjai has, however, foregone any upgrades in terms of starfighter storage. Such space has alternatively been used to house various landing craft and armored transports.

Task Force Ara'novor

Task Force Ara'novor is composed of the Fleet's sole Keldabe-class battleship and a pair of Strike-class medium cruisers. While the two Dreadnaughts provide the bulk of the firepower, Task Force Ara'novor's purpose is often to spearhead ship-to-ship engagements, using their greater maneuverability in flanking and pincer movements to out position enemy forces. The Keldabe-class battleship, although having few batteries, is outfitted with 3 squadrons of Y-wing Bombers, affording it the ability to pound the opposition with large payloads of various bombs and missiles. Alternatively, the Striker Cruisers only house a single squad of E-wing starfighters a piece, relying on their Turbolaser batteries to deal out the bulk of their damage while saving space for supplies and ground-based vessels.

Task Force Chekar

A triplet of Crusader-Class Corvettes combined with a second triplet of Gallofree GR-75 medium transports makes up the Fleet's second Task Force, named Chekar. Packed tightly with as many warriors, weapons, and foodstuffs as possible, Task Force Chekar is primarily utilized for dynamic ground assaults. This isn't to say, however, that Chekar serves no purpose in space combat. While lacking much in the way of ship-to-ship weaponry, Task Force Chekar is also used to ward off smaller craft such as fighters and light freighters.

The Shabla Kote

Even though a full wing of fighters are permanently housed in the Fleet's various ships, an ever changing number of starfighters make up a secondary "wing," called the Shabla Kote. Lacking in the rigid, military uniformity of the more permanent wing, the Shabla Kote are a mish mosh of any and all starfighter designs, from the worst bastardized ugly designs to even a couple of Tie Defenders. The Shabla Kote's pilots, too, are a reflection of their own ships, ranging from the most disciplined of warriors to the most vile of fools. Nevertheless, this wing of starfighters tend to get results, though a debate rages amongst the Ordo's Mercenaries whether its due to tenacity or insanity.

The sole prerequisite for membership in the Shabla Kote is that the pilot's ship must have a functional hyperdrive, as none of the carrier ships will have them. As of the most recent count, the Shabla Kote has 52 starfighters.

War Beasts

"Respect the Great Beasts of War. Honor them. Fear them."
―Merc Leader Marex Holidan

The mercenaries have brought with them a variety of beasts of war to assist in the defense of New Tython as well as to help in the offense.

Zakkegs

Zakkegs

"Jedi cannot stop them. Often times, neither can we"
―BEASTMASTER

Zakkegs are excellent pack animals, or animals that will carry supplies/weaponry or a few troops in/out. Zakkegs are immune to most Force powers. They are tough and covered in spikes and horns and make an excellent transport animal. Originally coming from Dxun, the Zakkegs prove a difficult beast to kill as by design they have natural armor. Zakkegs are like a living transport.

Zakilla is the favorite Zakkeg of the group, he's strong, sure footed and seen many a battle. Many Forces users have tried to cause harm, confusion or fear in Zakilla, no to avail. He's usually the first in and last out of the animals and doesn't get spooked or seem to be affected by the pressures of war.

Orbalisks

Orbalisks

"They feel the power of the dark side within you"
Darth Bane explains the orbalisks reaction to Zannah's touch.

Against the strong Force users that might be keeping to the shadows, or fighting from the darkness; the Orbalisks have been brought in. Orbalisks are barnacle-like creatures, native to the Beast Moon of Dxun. They feed off of Dark Side Energy pumping chemicals into the blood that increase rage, anger, and fury. Once they are killed, the Orbalisks kill the 'host' by putting toxins into the victim, a simple shot to an Orbalisk would be enough for the venom to be released.

Orbaslisks are on an essential suicide mission, and while their service is appreciated; no one gets so close to these creatures as to name them. They will often be given a series of letters and numbers for identification purposes, but nothing more personal than that.

Maalrass

Maalrass

"Release the Maalrass!"
―Merc Leader Marex Holidan ordering the Maalrass to war

Maalrass are small feline-like predators that come from the forst moon of Dxun; They have large fangs that come out of their round heads. Hunting in packs, they may be a relative to the nighthunters. The Maalrass can be used for tracking as well as going out in a pack to eliminate a variety of enemies as the Mercenaries would 'release the Maalraas'.'

Furrotio is the favorite, almost the mascot of the Maalraas. Furrotio is the undisputed Alpha male of the pack. He's been the leader of the group for a few years and none of the other Maalrass have been suitable to even consider challenging him for the title. Furrotio's relationship with the commander/handler is so close, it's believed they communicate telepathically, but there's been no confirmation of this.

Furrotio is practially the stuff of legends, he stands 1.5 meters high while on all fours and nearly 2.5 meters on his hind legs, With brown and green scales, he has natural camoflauge. He is a strong ferocious beast when on duty. Rumor has it that in his down time that Furrotio likes chewing on nerf rib bones and sitting by the fire.
