OPERATION: Antiquity was a joint operation between Clans Naga Sadow and Plagueis that occurred in 37 ABY. The operation circled around a planet that had been encountered by both Clans under differing circumstances. While the draw of the Dark Side encountered during a scouting maneuver brought Naga Sadow's number to the surface, ties to the Confederacy of Independent Worlds and the promise of new metals and materials to mine and gather on the surface brought Clan Plagueis to the otherwise uncharted planet. Once on the surface, the likes of droids, stranded pirates, and dark side spectres were encountered around droid factories, encampments and ancient temples of ancient origin.

Ancient History

In times long past, the Massassi temples on the surface had been constructed by slaves held under the sway of the ancient Sith, particularly according to legend Naga Sadow himself. The Massassi, being altered by the Lord of the Sith, before he eventually enclosed himself in a tomb in a trance, to await the arrival of a new generation of Sith who would call upon his power. The ultimate fate of the Sith Lord is argued, but the extinction of the Massassi slaves is a point of fact.

The Galactic Civil War

During the War against the Empire, the Rebel Alliance used the temple on the mon's surface as a base of operations. One particularly famous operation launched from Yavin IV was the assault on the Death Star battle station. The base was evacuated after the battle and an awards ceremony, and the location was of little interest to anyone save for travel or sightseeing. The Rebels would return to the moon later to ensure that data was recovered from their previous occupation, which caught the attention of the Empire. Following this, several more battles were fought on the moon.
