The Order of the Shield is a sect formed by Jaspen Kraitus in early 30 ABY together with a number of Jedi Knights who had been stranded in the Orian system by the Yuuzhan Vong War. The full nature of its existence is presently unknown; however, it is believed Jaspen's motives are not as pure as he believes them to be.
The Order of the Shield are to serve as adversaries for Clan Naga Sadow during a series of run-ons planned for 2009. Its role will be similar to the True Brotherhood's in previous years.
