Character History

Coming to the Brotherhood

Narad was born on the planet of Dantooine. He was of a Militaristic type of family. His father was once a member of the Imperial Navy, while his mother just stayed at home. His father, Exan Ni Lexu was an Ensign who was assigned to Bay Operations. Exan had just been recently promoted to Ensign, after being enlisted for 22 years. Exan Ni Lexu served on the Hammer, a star destroyer.

After 65 Galactic Standard days, from the beginning of the year Exan Ni Lexu was heading home. Upon coming home, a Rogue Jedi Order, named the Jedi Illuminate, was beginning their secret plot of an attack against the Lexu family.

The Jedi Illuminate had been watching Narad and Kra Lexu (Narad‘s Mother). Jedi Master Kima Sagin had been eye-ing young Narad, who had some connection with the force, who was picking on the kids at the local school, making their weak minds fight against each other. One day Exan went home, happy to see his family as they took him to do some shopping. They went to the local Capital City of their province; Seka Mait. Upon reaching the city they found the City streets to be packed full of patrons, all shopping. The smell of Bantha Fodder was in the air, oddly shaped alien animals walked pass them; dwarfing them,

Jedi Master Kima Sagin gathered his Jedi Illuminate just outside of the city and began to brief them on what was about to happen. Jedi Master Kima Sagin stated that there would be an attack on some Imperials, and that none should survive.

As Narad and his parents walked through Seka Mait, they saw children running around playing Pogo Kill. Happiness filled the air. Walking behind his parents the young 19 year old boy laughed, seeing a small boy to his left fall into a mud puddle. Suddenly, Exan stopped. Narad walked into his father’s back, buumph.

“Father what is wrong? Why did you stop?” He asked. Everyone was rapidly heading inside. Not knowing what was going on he looked around him. His father slowly pulled out an Imperial Repeater Blaster. Bringing it to shoulder he said “Get behind me” Kra grabbed her son and pulled him behind her built husband.

Light saber sounds came to hear. Green, yellow, orange, purple, and blue glows came to view around them. “Your time is up Imperial, we know what the Empire is planning. Your families very existence is a disgrace to the Force.” Jedi Master Kima Sagin walked into range of view, staring at his old Padawan. “Father what is that Jedi talking about?” Narad asked. “I used to be a Jedi, learning their way of the force. Then when the Rebellion started I hid from Vader’s onslaught on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Order 66 missed me. Then I hid on Korriban, where I meet Kima, where he began to train me. I grew tired of his ways and fled Korriban, went to Dantooine, met your mother and signed up for the Imperial Navy.” His father explained to his son.

“Enough of this. Your son will never live, and your betrayal of the Jedi Order will be accounted for.” The Jedi Master lunged at Exan, “RUN NARAD RUN!!” Kra yelled as she pulled a Blaster pistol. Narad began to run, he ran until he heard it. The yell of his parents as the Jedi’s lightsaber sliced into them.

He reached his father’s personal TIE Interceptor, punched in some random controls as his parent’s killers ran toward the fighter. The fighter lifted off and blasted into the blue Dantooine sky.

As the Interceptor came out of hyperspace, a voice came through on the comm. link “This is Antei Space Controller. You have entered Brotherhood Space. For your protection we have taken control of your vessel and we are bringing you in.

Not knowing what was going on, Narad went with the flow. As he landed in a space port, Armed Guards marched to the Interceptor. A voice came from within the Company.

“I am Lokasena Corvinus, the Battle Team Leader for the Phoenix Phyle, of Taldryan. I will only offer you this one time, join our Brotherhood, and learn the ways of the dark side. You will go far. Deny my offer, and I will kill you.”

Narad pondered for a minute. He stepped out of the TIE Interceptor. Bowed at the Armed Company, “I pledge my loyalty to the Dark Brotherhood.”

Dark Jedi Brotherhood

Walking through the Great Hall of the Shadow Academy he felt there was a different atmosphere than what Narad was used to back on Dantooine. Back on Dantooine he used to play in the Old Jedi Temple, which Revan and Malak destroyed a Thousands of ago. There he could feel something that would pull on him, even if nobody was there. He could sense sadness where the countless Jedi were murdered. The feel of all the sadness made Narad feel at home.

The first week Narad spent his time in the Study Halls, he was intent on not being left behind by his fellow Dark Jedi. Narad searched for anything that he could find to read no matter how small or big it was he was going to read it. He found a book that caught his eyes in the Library there in the House of Deneba. It read

Once you walk down the path of the Dark Side those who once treated you with such hatred, will come to fear you. Those who spat on you as you walked in front of them will beg you not to cut there tongue out. Weakness is mercy, mercy is not of the Dark Side. If your enemy scratches your arm, you severe theirs, If an enemy flirts with your wife or loved one, you kill theirs. Never let anybody tell you that you are a Bane on society, if they do, Destroy them.

Darth Bane, Dark Lord of the Sith

The text spoke to Narad, it spoke of everything the children back on Dantooine did to him in grade academies. The laughter, the smart remarks, and the hatred of the children was directed toward him. He didn't understand why they were being this way towards him, only that it had to stop. There's one thing that Narad remembered he did to one little boy. It was about noon, lunch time for his school. Juk Calitin, a human from Courosaunt, had been picking on Narad because he could not run as fast as him. Juk looked at Narad, "Haha you are nowhere as good as me. Your parents can't even give you decent clothes. You are the slowest one in the class, just go somewhere and die..." The words struck Lexu in just the right way. Lexu darted toward the slightly taller child. Spearing Juk with his deep shoulders, Narad knocked the breath out of Juk. Narad mounted the boy, sitting on his chest, he began beating the boys face. Left, Right, Left, Right, he swung landing every punch with enough force to break bone. The boy was screaming, the yell for help could be heard from miles away. Blood from Juk Calitin was caked on Narad's hands as he was pulled of the half-dead boy.

The memory began to fade back to reality. Closing the book, Narad tucked the ancient book under his cloak just in time,as his Tetrarch walked in.

"Ah Novice Narad, I see you are looking at the Ancient Text. I see you have the will, and the motivation of a Krath, come join our order and see what you think of it. You will find that our order, unlike the Sith or the Obelisk are, how do you say, more intuitive." Startled by the offer to join an Order, Narad took a moment before he answered. He wanted to jump right in on the offer, but showing over eagerness in the Brotherhood could get him in trouble.

"Why do you want me, master?" Narad stated as he was very puzzled by the request. "You show promise as a Krath, we Krath are people of intellect. We think before we act in any way. You would make a valuable member of the Krath.” The words of Lokasena said hung in the air; lingering as if they did not want to dissipate. Narad thought for a moment. Still hung on the words that were just spoken to him.

“I will join you, the Krath can teach me very much.” Narad bowed as he spoke. “Good my young Novice, go take the Krath History Course here in the Shadow Academy.” He replied. “Yes, Master” Rising Narad headed toward the class room.

Days past, weeks past Lexu grew stronger and stronger. He had pasted the Krath History Exam, as well as countless other courses. Narad approached Hel-Pa Sklib.

“Narad, just the man I was looking for, come with me.” The Templar spoke with such power and commanding voice that the Novice found him self following and he didn’t know why. They walked into a chamber. The chamber was drafty, cold, but yet was warm. The warmth was from the massive Dark Side presence in the room. The Dark energy poured of those who stood within the chamber walls. Vodo Biask, Lokasena Corvinus, and other members of House Ektrosis, all stood in a semi-circle.

Hel-Pa Sklib began to speak, “Today I have called you all in so that you may witness the rise of a New Acolyte. Welcome our newest Acolyte, Acolyte Narad Na Lexu.” An applause erupted the room, and the newly promoted Acolyte filled with cheer.

Upon leaving the chamber a message came across Narad’s Holopad. “Narad, this is your Father’s old Commander. Captain Ma`lisma De Lakima. I need to speak with you in person, please come back to Dantooine. It is very important.” The elderly mans voice switched off in the static. Narad thought to him self I must go, He could have information on how I can kill that damn Jedi Master.....
