Lord Hegemon (LH)—The Lord Hegemon is tasked with the development and maintenance of the role-playing aspects of the Brotherhood. Lord Hegemon is a truly unique position in that it initially focuses on development and then shifts towards administration. The Lord Hegemon works with the complex role-playing system, developing a character system that gives due weight to awards, rank, position and time served. The Lord Hegemon ensures balance in this system and works with the Grand Master and Seneschal to make it as real and manageable as possible. Within this system, the Lord Hegemon is responsible for developing lists and statistics for items, including weapons, clothing, ships and other military vehicles. The Lord Hegemon is solely responsible for the development of legal races. Finally, the Lord Hegemon works with the other Dark Council members and the Clans in the proper oversight of the Brotherhood powers, Clan powers, school powers and order powers.

Duties
General Duties
- Responsible for the development and administration of the Brotherhood role-playing system
- Develops and maintains all potential possessions and ensures a proper balance is achieved
- Assists members in the development and approval of races and keeps a public list of legal race choices
- Coordinates and balances the development of force powers
- Responsible for the Writer's Corner
Specific Duties
Role Playing System Generally
- Develops and maintains the Brotherhood role-playing system
- In charge of the intricacies of the Brotherhood Character Sheet system
- Assists in the development of code to run the role-playing system
- Coordinates RPG campaigns, training and assisting session masters where needed
- Maintains balance in the role-playing and prestige systems through periodic analysis of the value of medals, positions and promotions
- Maintains manuals and guides to assist members in using the role-playing system
- Maintains policies and procedures that dictate the operations of the role-playing system
Possessions
- Develops and maintains exhaustive item and possession lists for the use of the Brotherhood
- Coordinates and balances the items and artifacts within the Brotherhood role-playing system
- Develops and maintains exhaustive ship and upgrade lists for the use of the Brotherhood
- Develops, maintains and balances statistics of items, artifacts and ships
Races
- Responsible for the development and approval of races within the Brotherhood
- Develops and maintains an exhaustive list of valid and banned races within the Brotherhood
- Develops, maintains and balances statistics of races
Powers
- Oversees the school power system
- Assists in the development of Clan, order and school powers
- Assists in the development and maintenance of the Dark Brotherhood power listing
- Develops, maintains and balances statistics of powers
- Develops and maintains a powers guide that details specific usage parameters of powers at each rank
Writer’s Corner
- Works with the Fiction Tribune to approve of canonized fiction and ensures that it fits within Brotherhood frameworks
