Brijha Mortashka Vorrac: The Midnight Rose and wife of Kaliidrad "Kal" Mortashka Vorrac, friend to many, and "adoptive" daughter to Rasilvenaira StormRaven.

Character History

Childhood [Birth-12]

Brijha has close to no memories of her childhood up to her eighth year due to an incident that, until recently, has been labled an accident. She spent eleven months in recovery, part of which being because in her location technology was rather primitive. She awoke with no memory and to be informed she has no family, no home, and no friends. Carrying this knowledge, after her recovery she began self-training in physical combat until she improved enough to impress someone into taking her on as a student.

She never did find someone who would take her as a student, but she made several friendly acquiantences who helped her train to better her skills.

Teenage Years [Age 13-19]

Nothing much happened during her teenage years. Just the same ol' training, bettering her fighting skills gradually, testing them out on amatuer mercenaries and crooks.

One run-in prooved to be a difficult challenge for Bri. She (age 16) had gone onto Myrkr to take on many of the mercs and criminals the made their base there, and had encountered a Vonskr, something she had never seen before in her life. This creature was violent and fast, knew when to back off and attack. Very quickly Bri found this is no dumb animal she is accustomed to seeing. Being as she saw she had no choice, she fought it. The vonskr managed to claw Bri's right shoulder and chest, but only in a very minor way. However, she received a major injury when she fell into a hunter's trap. A stick used to cover the trap pierced through her already injured right shoulder. Once in the man-made pit, laying at the bottom bathing in a pool of her own blood, Bri watch the vonskr sit at the top and wait... and wait.. until what must have been at least and hour passed by. The vonskr just seemed to lose interest as she watched it turn from the pit and walk away. Bri waited a few minutes before attempting to make it out of the pit. However, as she reached the top she blacked out and fell back down. She later awoke at the hunter's camp to find herself clean and bandaged. When the hunter appeared, he told her his name was Vito Sech and that she had been out for two days, but that she had healed remarkably well. Bri thanked him for his help and asked if there is anything she could do for him. He gave her the look over, the kind of a man who's been without a woman for a long time, and asked her how old she was. She told him she was sixteen, he growled, shook his head, and told her there is nothing she can do and that she was free to go when she was able.

When Brijha was nineteen, she first meets Thran Occasus. By the time Thran leaves to take care of some father issues, Thran views Bri as a mother figure, and Bri has the beginning feelings of something much greater...

Young Adulthood [20-39]

Age twenty, Bri stumbles upon the Dark Brotherhood. At first she isn't interested, but then later an acquaintence, Esca, asks if she's join, explaining he'd get points for bringing in a new member. At this time, Bri considered Esca as close to a friend as she has, so she agrees.

Once joined, she was directed to Clan Exar Kun's House Byss, where she was greeted by many members such as Chi Long, Braecen Kunar, Arania, Korras, and many many others.

Brijha gradually gained in rank over time but hit a dead spot once she hit Protector. It took a year but she finally made it to Gaurdian.

During the time of her rise in rank, Clan Exar Kun and Clan Setal Keto had a merge, creating Clan Plagueis. Houses were shifted and Bri found herself in House Exar Kun. This new clan had a bad start and instead of sticking around to watch people kill each other, Bri put in a transfer to Clan Scholae Palatinae and remained there for a length of time, before finally returning to Clan Plagueis. It is after returning that she was finally able to reach the rank of Gaurdian.

However, even before she reached Gaurdian, she had some other adventures, like her reunion, and later marriage, to Thran Occasus.

==== The Story: Part I ====

As it goes, after Thran completed what he had set out to do, he spent several years searching for Bri, wanting to fulfill his promise that he will take her to see his home. It was six years before they saw each other again, most of which Thran spent just looking for her.

At first when he finds her, or she finds him, considering she tries to rob him, he does not realize it is her, for she is dressed in street garments, whereas he is more used to seeing her in elegant dresses... not to mention clean. Anyways, Thran makes her follow him and he questions her, hoping to find the location of her, not knowing this entire time she was right in front of him.. get it?

And so later, following the directions of the street urchin who is unknowingly who he is looking for, Thran finds Bri at the river outside of town. They talk for a while, then Thran says she is going with him willingly or he will carry her off against her will. Bri declares she made a promise to go, and she will keep it. They board Thran's ship and take off.

On their journey to Thran's home planet, many things happen. In summary, Thran and Bri share their first kiss. Later, Aphelia, a ladies handmaiden, becomes jealous of Bri and demands to have Thran to herself. Ophelia poisons Bri and tries to kill her. In her attempts, Thran is self-wounded and goes crazy. By the time the charade is over, the ship lands, Bri and Thran are unconsious, and the handmaidens run off in tears to fetch Thran's mother, the Queen Teritus, and others to help.

After Bri and Thran recover, Teritus and Bri have a discussion in which Bri asks Teritus if she can choose Thran. Now, a little background info, again summarized, is on this planet the women rule, and the men are chosen. Yes, men can decline offers, but in most cases they dont. It is an honor to be chosen by a fine and/or beautiful woman. Anyways, Teritus gives her blessings and has Thran summoned. Once he arrives, Teritus leaves them alone and Bri and Thran go for a walk in the courtyard. Once they walked for a while, they stop by a pond, made small discussion, then Bri pops the surprise. She tells Thran she chooses him. His reaction is all happy happy.

However, it does not go as fairy tales go.. at least not yet. Aphelia discovers this and makes one last attempt to kill Bri, and she almost succedes. As Bri lay dying, Teritus and Thran come and Thran goes into a panic. However, Teritus begins a ritual spell in which the result is Teritus sacrifices herself so Bri lives, and has the added privelage of being able to carry Thran's offspring.

After this, Bri gathers all handmaidens and servants and calls forth Aphelia. Her words were as followed (warning: in IRC text):

<ThranOccasus> MAIDENS, bring my sword! <ThranOccasus> *One maiden from the front runs out, and returns several seconds later with a sword that looks very familiar, it was the one Thran used in battle*

  • ThranOccasus takes it from her, and hands it to Bri.
  • ``Bri takes it

<ThranOccasus> May your blade be strong and true, Feel my power, feel the Sunset, feel Destruction, feel WAR!

  • ``Bri nods, then turns to the maidens

<``Bri> Aphelia, step forward. <ThranOccasus> *Aphelia does* <ThranOccasus> *Aphelia is silent* <``Bri> You have made two attempts on my life, Aphelia, this last time leading to the end of a great queen and wonderful mother. She doesnt even get to see her son marry now, all because you took it upon yourself to try to get rid of me. <ThranOccasus> *Aphelia sheds one tear* <``Bri> An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth...

  • ``Bri positions the sword

<``Bri> And a life for a life.

  • ThranOccasus grins, proudly
  • ThranOccasus licks his lips
  • ``Bri sends the sword through Aphelia's chest and through her heart, then twist, removes the sword, and watches Aphelia's body fall dead to the floor

After thus, Thran and Bri promptly marry. A year later, Bri gives birth to twins, Typhaes and Teritus. Thran was very happy.

====== End Part I ======

However, as one may guess, other events occured before Bri ever even knew she was pregnate.

====== The Story: Part II ======

Bri and Thran had been happily married for several months when one evening as Thran practiced fencing in the courtyard, he heard a scream from his and Bri's bedchamber. He immediately rushed to see what happened and entered the bedchamber just in time to see a man of the villainous sort fleeing through the balcony. Instead of going after him, Thran went to see if Bri was alright. She was, though she was shaken (Note: At this time Bri was rogue from the DB and the majority of her fierce, fighter spirit was put in storage as Bri took on the role of delicate wife.). After seeing she was alright, he sat and questioned her about what happened. She explained she had been sleeping, having another one of her nightmares about her past, which she usually never see's anyones face, but she explains this time she did, she saw a man's face, and it surprised her awake. She had heard a noise over by the balcony, looked over and saw the same man from her dream, and screamed. She then further explained he just stood there staring at her until Thran entered.

For a little background info, soon after being married, Bri started having dreams about her family and their murder. Many of the memories she had been missing since a young age came back to her in dreams. She couldn't see her families faces, nor remember their names, but she knew it was them being slain in her dreams. Until the previously mentioned experience, she didnt see the faces of their killers either. But now, things begin to change...

Anyways! Things go back to normal for a while, until one evening a servant is found murdered. This causes a stir in the population, because with all the gaurds at the palace, it is very difficult for someone to come in and commit murder.. unless it were Thran, but we all know it wasn't him. An investigation begins, and later is pushed further when a second murder is commited.

The evening after this second murder, Bri and Thran sit at their balconly discussing what action to take... or perhaps arguing is the better word, for you see, Bri wished to leave to eliminate the threat, for she was sure it was the man who had stood at her balcony, and at the same time also get some answers to her past, whereas Thran wanted Bri to stay behind and seek the bastard out himself and skewer him and make him wish he was dead. However, in the end, they agreed that they would go together to do both.

Once they had a lead, which led them to another planet, they prepared themselves and Thran's ship to depart. However, their flight did not go as according to plan. At night as they slept, Bri was awakened to the face of her nightmares. He warned her not to scream and told her to come with him willing or Thran will be killed. So, being the delicate flower she's become, goes all terrified and eee!... or not? The man leads her to a room and secures the door shut. Moments after, Thran awakens, noticing the absence of his bride. Worried, he gets up and searches for her. We all know he finds the room she's in. However, he does not make it inside in time to do anything about it. When he gets to the door, all he hears is a lightsaber igniting, a little wooshing here, a little wooshing there, then the sound of a body hitting the floor. He goes into a frenzied panic and forces the door open... only to find the intruder on the ground, obviously dead, de-ignited saber next to him, and Bri standing over him, glaring at his corpse. Thran makes sure she is completely unharmed, she is, and then questions her.. again. She informs him the man's name was Lionel and that he, his brothers, and his father were the ones responsible for her family's murder, and that one of Lionel's brothers was killed by Bri years ago when they had been wooing her so she'd let her gaurd down enough to be killed.

The Beasts of Wrath: Brijha's pet beasties:

  • Ar'amioos'sek - The canine Beast - A creature much like a dog. He is about 2 meters tall, four legged, with fur of deep blue and mane of dark blue. His horns, which look as though they are onyx, curl backwards, much like a goats'. He has three long, whip-like tails he can manuever to his will, and they are a powerful weapon in any fights he goes into. His other weapons, of course, are his teeth. These suckers are thin, sharp, and can bite through everything from the softest material to titanium.
  • Ammemnon - The serpent Beast - A snake-like creature with scales of armor that protects her from basic, non-force/lightsaber harm. She is highly venomous, but never bites unless Bri is threatened. Her bite kills those not immuned instantly (either you're immune or youre not. It's either instant death or none at all. Get the picture?). Her back is lined with a feather-like fluff and it goes all the way to the tip of her tail.
  • Rebb'imnius - The feline Beast - A cat-like creature whose coat is made of a soft, feather-like furr, which, though seems very fragile, is very thick and protects her from the elements and from sharp, pointed objects. No blade can pierce through her thick fur. In her paws she hides big, pointed claws that are known to be slash-happy at times.
