"How do we define the concept of morality? Is it how many we save that makes us moral, or is it something different entirely? If so, do we save the little that are falling now or the many that will fall in time? When do we draw the line between what is right and what is wrong? Morality is indeed a fine thing, but taken to it's logical extreme it can hold us back quite far. In the end, morality is but a figment of our imagination. An attempt by the weak to justify their survival, as a way to defend themselves against those that would rise above their fellow man. Morality does not exist, there is only those who understand and those who don't."
―General Grimes

Iosif Besotsov Zakhaev (Miralukese: Иоcиф Безотсов Захаев, Melona 7, 0 ABY), better known as simply Joseph Zakhaev, is a Jedi Hunter in House Marka Ragnos.

Biography

"You must never forget who you are or who you have become. There is power in such knowledge, and without it you are nothing."
―Unknown Philosopher

Early Years

"I never knew my parents. My mother was the daughter of the Lord Hegemon of the time, and in 1 BBY she was taken as a prisoner of war by radical Creo Insurrectionists following the sack of Konestants. My... father, on the other hand, was real bastard. I know very little about him, but I believe he met mother in the mountains of Qadir, where she was being kept, and disappeared shortly before I was born. Some say he was a Dark Jedi, and others that he was merely another lowlife criminal. Nevertheless, I know he's in the Brotherhood, and I am going to find him."
―Joseph Zakhaev
Lord Hegemon Grigori Markov. Portrait painted in 1 ABY.

Joseph Zakhaev was born on Ferox, a largely unknown planet nestled deep within the Outer Rim, in 0 ABY. Moments after his birth, his mother, a died, effectively orphaning the newborn. His maternal grandfather, Grigori Markov, was oblivious to the existence of his grandson and therefore was unable to take responsibility for the child. Fortunately, the insurgents were not completely devoid of feeling, and chose to raise the boy instead of disposing of him.

He was placed in the care of another prisoner, an older Kiffar whose name he has not disclosed. Under her stern tutelage he would be taught the skills and the knowledge he needed to survive. The Kiffar was not, in any sense, a kind person, as her many years in the mountains of Qadir had hardened her heart and twisted a once cheery person into something far more horrific. Though she had retained some of her youthful beauty, her heart had blackened and her sanity slowly slipped from her grasp. Nonetheless, she grudgingly accepted to take the small child under her wing and proceeded to teach him all she knew. Unfortunately, she completely disregarded his heritage and attempted to stamp out any and all proof that he was Miralukan, instead she tried to "humanize" him, deeming that the entire species was evil and that one less Miraluka would do the galaxy some good.

More Quote

These are quotes I intend to use in the future but am unable to at the moment.

"Our bodies are prisons for our souls. Our skin and blood, the iron bars of confinement. But, fear not. All flesh decays. Death turns all to ash. And thus, death frees every soul."

"You, the condemned. You have confessed. You admit to protecting the queen, who twists the word of our god and drowns all of us in sin. Your queen seeks immortality in life, the force of paradise. This is heresy. She leads you towards vanity, away from the voice of truth. But this is foolishness, for death... exists."
