{{Quote|Joseph... he was different. He was not like the others disciples. He was always a deep thinker, and when we revealed to him his familial connections and the circumstances surrounding his birth, he would not let it go. It made him angry, and from this anger was born a dark rage, and from that something darker still. His fury awoke a demon within him, a demon that resides in all of us, and it made him stronger, better than the rest. All that we had attempted to teach him about self-control was wiped away. Moments after his birth, his mother, a prisoner of war, died, effectively orphaning the newborn. His maternal grandfather, Grigori Markov, was oblivious to the existence of his grandson and was therefore unable to take responsibility for the child. Fortunately, the insurgents were not completely devoid of feeling, and being highly religious, they placed him in the care of the Priory of the Fallen, an ancient and sacred order that lie hidden in the mountains.

Life would not improve for Miraluka, as he was not merely placed there to being taken care, but for a far less noble cause. The years preceding his seventh birthdate were fraught with the joys of childhood, joys that all children must experience at some point. Yet these were nothing less than fleeting memories that would be enveloped by the years to come.

When he was seven, he was taken from this life and was inducted into a rigorous educational system, as all Miraluka raised there are. The aim of the system was to produce physically and mentally strong males to serve as warrior monks to be utilized by the Priory's leading Synod as they saw fit. It encouraged individuality and the importance of stoicism, but was also meant to generate obedient soldiers that would not attempt to break free from this lifestyle. Discipline was strict and the males were forced to fight amongst themselves to determine the strongest member of the group.

Quite unlike his peers, Joseph quickly proved to be the most preeminent among them, a prodigy in his own way. His lack of inhibitions catapulted him through his training, and by the time he was fifteen he had succeeded and was fully realized as a Keeper of the Creed.

"How do we define the concept of morality? Is it how many we save that makes us moral, or is it something different entirely? If so, do we save the little that are falling now or the many that will fall in time? When do we draw the line between what is right and what is wrong? Morality is indeed a fine thing, but taken to it's logical extreme it can hold us back quite far. In the end, morality is but a figment of our imagination. An attempt by the weak to justify their survival, as a way to defend themselves against those that would rise above their fellow man. Morality does not exist, there is only those who understand and those who don't."

More Quote

These are quotes I intend to use in the future but am unable to at the moment.

"Our bodies are prisons for our souls. Our skin and blood, the iron bars of confinement. But, fear not. All flesh decays. Death turns all to ash. And thus, death frees every soul."

"You, the condemned. You have confessed. You admit to protecting the queen, who twists the word of our god and drowns all of us in sin. Your queen seeks immortality in life, the force of paradise. This is heresy. She leads you towards vanity, away from the voice of truth. But this is foolishness, for death... exists."
