Jaysun is a former Imperial Scout trooper and mercenary and current Obelisk Templar in Clan Plagueis. Template:Obbie charinfo

Character Histroy

Early Years

Jaysun was born in Curamelle, the capital city of Corulag, to Neran, a propulsion systems researcher at Sienar's Advanced Research Division, and Lysanna, a teacher at Dammon University. He had a fairly easy childhood as both his parents had well paying jobs and he wanted for nothing. As he grew and went to school he was a fairly bright boy who did well in the class room but excelled in all sorts

of physical activity.

As he entered high school he began to think of his future, should he become a researcher like his father or maybe a teacher like his mother. It wasn't until he was sixteen he knew without a doubt what he wanted to do with his life. It was at this time that a recruiter from the local Corulag Imperial Military Academy paid a visit to his high school touting the benefits of a career in the Imperial military.

Jaysun was immediately sold on he idea and after much convincing finally talked his parents into allowing him to transmit an application when he was old enough. The day he turned eighteen Jaysun transmitted his application to join the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. A little over a week later he was ordered to the Academy to undergo physical and mental evaluation.

Joining the Empire

Upon arriving he was the subject of a battery of tests that eventually led his testers to recommend that in addition to the standard stormtrooper training Jaysun also be given scout trooper training. Thought the training was tough the young recruit enjoyed it and made excellent progress.

Upon completion of his standard trooper training Jaysun was reassigned to Carida, the home of the scout trooper training program where his skills with a blaster came to the fore. He was such a good shot that he was given training as a sniper. It was during this time that it was discovered he was also a fair speeder bike pilot.

Once his training was complete Jaysun, along with half his graduating class, where assigned to the newly formed Death Squadron under the command of Darth Vader himself and while Jaysun never actually met the Sith Lord his presence could certainly be felt aboard the Avenger, the star destroyer Jaysun's squad of scouts had been assigned to.

For the next few years Death Squadron hunted down and destroyed any pocket of rebellion it could find, Jaysun becoming a hardened veteran along the way. Three years after being assigned to Death Squadron a probe droid discovered a large rebel base on the planet Hoth and preparations were made to attack.

Hoth

Outfitted with cold weather gear Jaysun, now a Corporal, was assigned to guard the flanks of the task forces AT-ST's and AT-AT's using speeder bikes. The battle was going well until an AT-ST to Jaysun's right was hit by weapons fire from a rebel T-47 and exploded. The resulting shrapnel hit Jaysun in the leg, chest and arm but the worst damage was to his face and head.

A large chunk hit Jaysun in the head crushing the right side of Jaysun's helmet and knocking him off his speeder bike. The damage to Jaysun's skull was fairly bad and included a shattered check bone severe damage to his right eye and a fractured skull. If not for the fact that one of his squad mates was only a short distance away Jaysun would have surely died.

Slinging Jaysun over his bike the trooper, Evers Rupeni, headed for the drop ships as fast as he could. When he arrived Jaysun was barely holding on and he was quickly rushed to a bacta tank. He spent the next month suspended in bacta but it wasn't enough to save his eye. It was decided at that point to replace Jaysun's eye and a portion of his skull with a cybernetic equivalent.

Endor

After a few short months of rest and rehabilitation Jaysun was reassigned to the forest moon of Endor to patrol the perimeter of the bunker complex located there. It was a fairly simple job as the local populace of Ewoks was considered to primitive to pose much of a threat. But unbeknowst to Jaysun a threat was on its way.

About nine months after arriving on Endor word came that a group of rebel saboteurs where on there way to Endor in the hope of shutting down the shield generator protecting the unfinished Death Star in orbit above. Stationed a short distance from the bunker Jaysun was a member of the force that sprung the trap on the rebel insurgents as they attempted to destroy the shield generator.

While standing guard over the prisoners which, much to Jaysun's surprise, included former senator Leia Organa a large group of Ewoks attacked throwing the clearing into chaos. Running for cover Jaysun found himself inside the now locked bunker complex along with several officers and techs along with the reinforcements that were secreted in the lower levels.

For what seemed like hours but couldn't have been more than 20 minutes Jaysun waited for any news on the battles outcome when an AT-ST pilot sent a transmission that the rebels were being pushed back and that reinforcements were needed to round them up. Several officers and a squad of stormtroopers, with Jaysun tagging along at the back, exited the bunker only to walk into a trap and be captured.

After the battle was over Jaysun along with the rest of the Imperial captives were debriefed for any information they may now. Being a lowly Corporal Jaysun new very little and after assessing his threat to the rebellion was released and offered transport back to his homeworld. Upon arriving back on Corulag Jaysun moved back in with his mother, his father having died the year before, and took a job in a factory. He stayed on Corulag for just over a year but the pace of life was too slow for him so taking the credits he'd managed to save he hopped on a transport bound for Nar Shaddaa.

Mercenary Days and joining the Dark Brotherhood

Upon arriving on Nar Shaddaa Jaysun began to make it known he was looking for work as a mercenary but it wasn't until a bar fight in the Meltdown Cafe that he found an employer. Jaysun was simply sitting at the bar enjoying a glass of brandy when a Weequay stepped forward insisting Jaysun was sitting in his seat. Apologizing Jaysun stood up to move when the Weequay pushed him, spilling his drink, and nearly knocking him over. Spinning around Jaysun thrust his fingers into the Weequay's throat before punching him the stomach, doubling him over. With a final knee to the face the Weequay dropped to the ground as his friends ran for the door.

Turkes Gorh

As Jaysun turned back to the bar to order another drink a Rodian approached him introducing himself as Turkes Gorh and offered Jaysun a job. It turned out Gorh was a mid-level gangster in a Hutt crime syndicate and he was in need of a new bodyguard. Accepting the offer Jaysun became a bodyguard and hitman for the Rodian gangster and for the next 11 years did his bidding, all the while building up a decent stash of credits.

His life changed however when he was ordered to kill the wife and children of a business associate of Gorh's. Jaysun was a killer there was no doubt about it, but there were things even he wasn't prepared to do. Arriving at the man's house Jaysun informed him of the fate Turkes had in store for them and told him to leave Nar Shaddaa because Jaysun wouldn't be the last killer the Rodian would send.

After warning the man Jaysun wandered the streets of the Smuggler's Moon in a daze wondering what to do. He'd thrown the last 11 years of his life down the trash compactor for what, some stranger and his family. Stopping he was about to go back and do what he was ordered to do when the image of the mans kids flashed in front of Jaysun's eyes and somehow he knew something bad had happened.

Running as fast as his legs could take him he returned to the apartment to find the entire family dead. Quickly leaving the apartment Jaysun headed for his small apartment and shoved as many clothes as he could into a bag, snatched up his weapons and headed for a small time ship dealer he knew.

On his way he bumped into a strange looking armored figure and excusing himself and apologizing continued on his way. After a short time he noticed the armored alien was following him so he quickly slipped down an alley and hid in a shadowed corner, pulling his blaster pistol out as silently as he could. The alien kept walking past the alley and Jaysun thought he was safe until it's silhouette at the end of the alley.

Taking aim Jaysun fired but as the bolt sped towards its target it was intercepted by a dazzling blue-white shaft of light and Jaysun's eyes widened to saucers as the realization that he had fired at a Jedi hit him. However instead of cutting him down the alien said she merely wanted to talk. Introducing herself as Cipher she began to ask Jaysun about his ancestors, specifically whether he had any Jedi in his family tree.

Jaysun replied that he wasn't sure when Cipher informed him that when they bumped into each other she could sense his connection to the force, as unfocused as it was, and that she belonged to an organization that could train him to focus that power. Asking if she meant Skywalker's new academy on Yavin IV she replied no with a chuckle before telling him about the Dark Brotherhood.

With the possibility of death at the hands of Gorh's cronies and no other options Jaysun accepted Cipher's offer to take him to the DB and that he would meet her in space within an hour. As they parted company Jaysun headed for his ship dealer friends warehouse and used the credits he'd saved over the last decade to buy a battered old Y-Wing and headed for space. As the pair met up above the moon Cipher transmitted a set of jump co-ordinates to Jaysun and the pair entered hyperspace heading for Dark Brotherhood space.

Character Information

Physical Appearance

Where it not for the blazing red artificial eye and metal plate that surrounds it Jaysun would be wholly unremarkable and disappear in a crowd. He is of average height, standing 1.89m tall or just over 6 feet 2 inches , and is muscular without being bulky. He has short dark brown hair that due to his age is beginning to recede and his face is usually covered with a few days worth of growth giving him a constant five o'clock shadow. He also has several scars on various parts of his body picked up during battles and skirmishes during his time as both a Scout trooper for the Empire and a mercenary working on Nar Shaddaa.

While he wears the robes of a Dark Jedi for more formal occasions he can more commonly be seen in a pair of loose fitting pants and a sleeveless shirt under a dark jacket with a pair of black leather combat boots on his feet. Around his waist is a gun belt with a holster for his blaster pistol and a scabbard for a large hunting knife.

Demeanor

Jaysun is a genuinely good man despite doing some terrible things in the name of both the Empire and his former employer. A man of few words Jaysun isn't one to voice an opinion or lead from the front preferring his own company to that of others. It is this independent nature that makes Jaysun ideally suited to the life of an advanced scout or lone assassin.

Personal Possessions

DL-44 heavy blaster pistol

Jaysun picked up this blaster pistol the moment he arrived on Nar Shaddaa and chose it for its outstanding stopping power and great accuracy.

E-11 blaster rifle

Jaysun's next acquisition was an E-11 blaster rifle, a weapon he became very familiar with during his time as a Stormtrooper scout for the Galactic Empire. However Jaysun's E-11 is slightly different from the standard rifle carried by the Empire's troops. Removing the fold out stock Jaysun attached a solid wooden stock coated in a strong water resistant resin. Once this was attached he removed the standard 2x scope and added a stronger 6x scope allowing him to use it as a sniper rifle in a pinch. This, along with his lightsaber, is Jaysun's preferred day to day weapon.

DC-15x sniper rifle

DC-15x Sniper rifle

For times when a frontal assault is out of the question Jaysun relies on his BlasTech Industries DC-15x sniper rifle. Jaysun first encountered this rifle during his time training as an Imperial scout trooper and fell in love with its combination of excellent accuracy and deadly lethality. After a long search and a substantial amount of credits Jaysun finally acquired one of these on the black market and is now one of his most prized possessions.

Sledgehammer

The Sledgehammer is a BTL-A4 Y-wing Jaysun acquired on Nar Shaddaa in order to escape the Smuggler's Moon and make his way to the Dark Brotherhood.
