Template:Individual ship infobox Deep Ice is a Nebulon-B escort frigate that served in the Imperial Navy under the name Vehemence during the Galactic Civil War. The ship was stationed in the Outer Rim during the Battle of Endor and eventually found service in the Emperor's Hammer. Following the Exodus the Deep Ice entered the service of the Dark Council. In 30 ABY the ship was given to Independent House Revan and the ship currently serves as their mobile resupply platform.

Construction

The Deep Ice was constructed under the name of Vehemence in 19 BBY following the conclusion of the Clone Wars. Kuat Drive Yards was awarded a contract to develop a Command Platform that could replace the aging Class-C Frigate and the EF76 design was born. The Deep Ice was constructed in obscurity alongside 20 other EF76 platforms assigned to duty in the Outer Rim Territories.

In 30 ABY Independent House Revan commissioned Roche to upgrade and customize the Deep Ice to suit Independent House Revan's unique operational approach. The ship received a black matte stealth paint job rendering the ship nearly invisible to the naked eye. The Roche also installed a transponder code package allowing the Deep Ice to broadcast multiple identities ensuring the ship could travel in relative obscurity.

Role

Action

The initial years in service to the Empire was relatively uneventful, with the ship performing its' duties faithfully, usually performing escort duties with the occasional raids into enemy held worlds. The only mission that stood out from the rest was a raid done while the Vehemence was in the Eriadu system, awaiting the arrival of Grand Moff Tarkin to transport him to the under-construction Death Star. The Grand Moff was not in the shuttles that were on their way, but the rebels did manage to free his slave, the Mon Calamari Ackbar, despite fierce resistance by the TIE Interceptors from the Vehemence.

After this, the Vehemence continued its' duties until after the death of the Emperor. Afterward, the ship was transferred in the service of the Emperor's Hammer and served in the fleet picket defense role. Eventually the ship settled into protecting Brotherhood assets.

Just prior to the events of the Exodus, The Seven ensured that the Brotherhood fleet had Captains and crews that were loyal to the Brotherhood, and thus the ship accompanied the rest of the Brotherhood fleet during the Exodus.

During the events of the opening of a new House in the Brotherhood, the founding members were able to pull some strings with the Dark Council and have them transfer ownership of the Vehemence to them, along with access to the Brotherhoods' shipyards for modifications.

The House leadership, upon taking possession of the ship, renamed it to Deep Ice, as to avoid recognition by anyone that was familiar with the Vehemence. Furthermore, with the addition of the transponder code package along with an array of identities, the ship is able to masquerade her identity at will. This, along with the black matte stealth paint, will make any attempts at identifying the ship extremely difficult.

Once modified, the House has not fit to update anyone as to the current status of the ship. All of its' movements are classified as one of the highest of secrets that they have. However, this fits the modus operandi of the House's usual way of doing business.
