Character History

Clone

After the Battle of Yavin, the Empire was recovering from the huge contingent of troopers lost aboard the Death Star. Turning to desperate measures, Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader scoured the galaxy looking for more templates to clone for their army. After few successes, Lord Vader suggested the possibility of near-human stormtroopers. After extensive discussion, both Vader and Palpatine agreed that the Kiffar race was the closest race to human that they could use.

The Sith Lords searched Kiffar space and eventually found someone who would make a perfect stormtrooper. This person was the template that Debric was cloned from.

Debric was actually born with no name, but instead a serial designation: KCT-11388.

KCT-11389 was part of an elite commando unit that was trained separately from the main clones. After extensive training in both loyalty and combat on Yinchorr, the elite unit was taught rudimentary force abilities due to the fact that their template was a force-sensitive.

Only a month into active service, however, Lord Vader and the Emperor were killed aboard the second Death Star above the forest moon of Endor. Since the elite unit was known to so few, and most of those people were killed aboard the second Death Star, the unit was essentially abandoned.

With nowhere to go, most of the unit began to experience extreme depression. During the year after Endor, all of the elite Kiffar clones had committed suicide. All but one: KCT-11388.

The Search For An Identity

For some reason, KCT-11388 had a spark of independence that had not been weeded out during the training process. Instead, KCT-11388 began to travel the galaxy after stealing a ship. He arrived on Obroa-Skai, the library world, and began to learn about the galaxy. It is there that he chose a name for himself: Debric. He stayed on the planet for three years, during which he hired himself out as a bodyguard to the library world's rich and famous.

Eventually, he discovered references to the Lyarna System and the Bounty Hunters Guild in the library. Deciding to try out the life of a hunter, he joined the BHG, where he worked as a bounty hunter for over a decade. During his career as a bounty hunter, he earned the rank of Baron within the Guild.

When the peace accords were signed, effectively ending the war between the New Republic and the Empire, the Guild sputtered due to lack of business during peacetime and eventually collapsed.

Out With The Old, In With The New=

With nowhere to go, Debric began travelling the galaxy again, now at his leisure due to the immense wealth he had gathered in his time as a bounty hunter.

Eventually, Debric found a new path. Rather, a new path found him. An agent of Clan Arcona of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood discovered Debric during one of the former hunter's stops on the Outer Rim. This agent was none other than Koskian d'Tana, who convinced Debric to join the Brotherhood as a member of Clan Arcona.

Debric worked hard at his studies, and eventually earned an Archivist Droid from the leaders of House Galeres.

Because of the leadership and political skill Debric had gained during his years in the Guild, he was sought out to help form the new government of the Dajorra System. Debric readily agreed.

Cabal Cronal

Apparently, he did a great job because he was approached by the leaders of House Galeres and Clan Arcona and asked to become a pivotal member of the new Arconan Intelligence Service. This group would be named Cabal Cronal. With all of his training from the Empire and his experience in the Guild, his skills had become suited to political and intelligence work. Debric happily joined the Cabal, and also continued his studies of the force.

Knighthood

After a significant time had passed and sufficient ability was noticed, Clan Arcona's Proconsul, Timeros Entar, thought it was time to knight Debric. Debric built his lightsaber following his knighting ceremony, which he shared with fellow Cabal member Rho d'Tana. With his glowing yellow blade, Debric put all of his time not working on Cabal projects to mastering the lightsaber form of Makashi.

Personal Property

Ship

Iapyx-Class Transport: Bluebolt

Unparalleled speed and firepower for a ship its size combined with a highly experimental new command/control interface make this craft highly sought after. The Iapyx is a ship unlike any other. The new control interface is actually a helmet/mask that is attuned to the owner’s brain patterns. With this unique method of controlling the ship through thought, the Pilot acts as the Computer, and also dramatically increases the piloting ability of even the greenest pilots. To supplement the Pilot’s mind however, the Iapyx does still need a Targeting Computer and a Navicomputer. This new pseudo-cybernetic interface does however have some drawbacks. Only one person can ever pilot it, as the user’s brainwave patterns are hard-wired onto the ship itself, and the ship cannot function properly without a pilot at the helm, making the craft completely dependent on it’s owner. This however does make the ship impossible to steal.

The ship is armed with a quad laser turret, quad ion turret, four FR-1 disruptor cannons, SSL Mk.I Interceptor, and sixteen seismic torpedoes. It is equipped with an Experimental AI unit, weapon frequency jamming beam, anti-cargo scan field, harmonics sensor, power dissipater, backup battery, escape pod, passenger pod that houses two people, holonet transceiver, comm. jammer, class x.20 hyperdrive, two CEC Evader-GT Ion Engines, long range sensors, corusca gem armor, a luxury stateroom for Jaing, and two Quantum Particle Reactors to supply the power required for all of these modifications.

Weapons

Verpine Shatter Rifle: It was short, compact, and expertly tooled. The scope had an anti-reflective scope with no active electronic targeting measures such as a laser sight, making it undetectable by most EM scanners. It also had a multi-load barrel, meaning it could fire just about anything projectile in a pinch. The Verpine rifle was also useful in that like most Verpine weapons it made almost no sound when fired, The Scope had also been modified with a variety of range-finders and vision modes including low light, IR, UV and EM. Needless to say, this weapon cost a fortune.

Executioner Bombard Launcher:Using technology stolen from an experimental bomber owned by a pirate captain based on the moon of Lok, researchers miniaturized the energy bomb concept pioneered by the pirate bomber.

The weapon charges up and releases a stream of grenade-like energy bombs that fire out in much the same way one would use a hand-held grenade launcher, with the grenade tube being as long as a carbine and the grip being one-handed. Once the weapon has lost it’s charge, a small generator replenishes the weapon over time, giving a near infinite supply of explosives, however repeated firing will overheat the weapon so it’s best not to rely on it too heavily, as it is only a prototype.

The weapon has a polished silver chrome barrel and glossy black plasteel grip.

ZR-20.30 Rifle: The Z'Laan-Rackmrr (ZR for short) phase rifle is basically an infantry-scale 20 mW Tearlic 30 phased plasma cannon of Illonty origin. Weighing about 17 pounds empty, the weapon itself is around 27 pounds when fully loaded. The power source is a 15 mW Corligen fuel cell capable of 3,500 firings before refueling. The fuel cell drives a homopolar fast-discharge generator which stores power until it has sufficient energy to pulse the phase rifle's laser. When the rifle is set in its "pulse" mode the laser is fired at maximum wattage, creating an ionized trail in the atmosphere which is charged by the rifle's electromagnetic coil to form a solenoidal magnetic tunnel. The ammunition - Vhurlium Telleride pellets of around 5 grams each - is fed mechanically into the tunnel, where it is vaporized by the laser beam into a superheated plasma, which is accelerated by the magnetic coil to velocities of around 5,000 m/s. The plasma travels the tunnel until it impacts the target at a focused point, using its considerable kinetic and thermal energy for maximum effect penetration. This entire pulse/load/discharge process happens almost instantaneously. Because of the power usage needed for each shot, cyclic rate of fire (allowing for adequate cooling between shots) is around 60 rpm. The rifle's drum-style clip contains around 1,000 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, the rifle's laser can be set to "dazzle" mode, in which only the weapon's laser beam is pulsed. This can be done continuously and in a steady beam because the laser's power outage is lowered. In dazzle mode, the laser beam is continuously played back and forth across enemy lines in an attempt to blind them. This method of attack has been proven to be highly effective against vision-based species. Maximum effective ranged of the phase rifle in pulse mode is dependant upon the ambient atmospherics, but under ideal conditions can be up to 900 m. The rifle set in dazzle mode can blind permanently up to 500 m under ideal conditions, while temporary or partial damage can be inflicted at ranges up to 750 m.

Auricon EF-7 PPG: The term PPG stands for "Phased Plaser Gun." These weapons fire bolts of charged helium plasma, which is contained in a magnetic field. "Caps", highly condensed helium storage units, provide the ammunition and a nuclear battery in the grip supply energy to the weapon. Helium is ionized by a laser burst then a strong electrical discharge forces the plasma out of the weapon at high speeds. PPG's can easily burn through organic tissue, bone and metal at higher energy levels.

The EF-7 has three power setting, each setting capable of inflicting a different level of damage. Setting ONE produces a strong kinetic/electrical impact with little burning. This is often referred to as a "stun" setting as the strong electrical charge can render a person immobile or unconscious. Setting TWO is the weapon's kill setting, capable of causing serious surface damage to organic tissue. Setting THREE is the highest setting on the EF-7. While this can reduce the number of shots per cap to as little as four, this setting guaranties a kill and is strong enough to burn through metallic alloys.

One unique feature of the PPG is the bolt that it fires. Unlike a blaster, which fires an elongated projectile, the PPG's blast is a smaller, spherical energy packet. It also has an odd affect, seeming to visibly warp space around it. This affect is really an optical illusion, as it is the high amount of heat distorting light, much like a mirage. The PPG burn mark is more like a topical burn then the small crater-like burn of a standard blaster, and can be identified easily. Also, the "caps" can be harder to find on backwater worlds then the power packs of their more common blaster counterparts.
