The VIN Atrum Vorago is one of the three new ships commissioned to serve the Shadow Academy after the Ninth Great Jedi War, along with the VSDII Paladin and the M/CRV Pyralis. The primary function of the Atrum Vorago is to bolster the strength of the Academy fleet, providing a wealth of firepower from the ship itself and its contingent of fighters. Like the Paladin and the Pyralis, the Atrum Vorago has yet to mark its presence in any major Brotherhood battles, though it loyally awaits for its time in battle to come.
