Character History
Earnest's parents were traders along the Rimma Trade Route, specializing in transporting bacta to the Core Worlds. When House Pelagia sharply raised the tariffs on the Shapani Bypass for all suspected enemies of the House, the couple offered their youngest son in desperation, to be held as a good faith hostage and ransomed at the end of their run. They did not return.
Earnest, meanwhile, had been discovered at his school- not for academic prowess, but as the registrar explained, "All children lie, but this one dissembles." As manipulation was the most highly prized art by the ruling house, Earnest was transferred to the Companion Praxeum to learn the art of seduction and ultimately become an agent. To their delight, he had latent Force sensitivity, although they lacked the ability to train him toad the Force actively, he became adept at judging the mood of those around him.
Earnest graduated with all honors, and promptly and his training to escape the Tapani Sector. As soon an he attained his freedom, he concentrated on building a fortune. Earnest became a black widower, migrating toward the Antei system to join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He dabbled, gained a few ranks, and drifted away to return to his alternate life. By his second return to the fold, Earnest had come to terms with being a serial killer, although he did not share this revelation with his Arcona clanmates, including his Master Sashar Arconae.
Earnest ended up seducing the bounty hunter Dash, one of Sashar's close friends. Unable to suppress his growing urge to kill Dash and unwilling to destroy his haven at Arcona, Earnest disappeared so suddenly he was presumed dead. He has recently resurfaced, and has yet to offer an explanation.
