The Mirror Mirror saga was a trilogy of member hosted events ran by Eludajae M’Nar and her wife Impetus, with assistance from Kara Rohana and Aeshi. The events began with the theft of the Clan Plagueis artefact, The Mirror of Anor, a theft masterminded by the Crime Lord known as the High Lady Vexon, but once the Jedi of Clan Plagueis’ investigation delves deeper into the incident, it’s revealed that there is a greater power at work that would shake the Clan to its core...
Plot
Part 1 - The Theft of the Mirror (Clan run-on)
There was clan-wide outrage among the Dark Jedi of Plagueis when it had been confirmed that the Mirror of Anor had been stolen right out of their vaults. Initial investigation indicated that the Zabrak positioned to guard the vault had suddenly disappeared, his bank account suddenly being cleared of all debts and credited with ten thousand credits, thanks to a company named Diverse Limited. All ports were immediately locked down, preventing the mirror from travelling off-world.
With regards to the actual thief, all signs pointed to Kara Rohana, her records could be traced back to an organisation affiliated with Diverse prior to her joining the brotherhood. Knowing this, her and Aeshi got to work on tampering with the Clan Plagueis, records, where they were discovered by Cethgus Kuga. The prospect of Kara stealing the mirror split the clan in two, with half believing Kara would never act in such a manner against the clan, the other half believing that the innocent had nothing to hide.
Meanwhile, Vorn Kyrth and Sanguinius Tsucyra’s investigation of the red sector had led them to an unfortunate situation, in which they discovered a connection with the Tapani section, but almost at the cost of their lives, however thanks to Mograine’s timely arrival they escaped unharmed. While the clan was in crisis, another of Vexon’s men attempted to steal yet another Clan Plagueis artefact, the Jawadar’s Spears, however the thief, a Force User wielding a blue lightsaber, was killed in single combat by the lance of security guard Gatrie Naon.
Cethgus’ failed interrogation of Kara and Aeshi had led Vivackus Kavon to take over the job, however, displeased with Vivackus’ aims of getting the information out of them even if it meant killing one of them, Cethgus attacked him. Defeating Vivackus non-lethally in a brief duel, the Rollmaster Cethgus demanded the release of Kara and Aeshi.
During the infighting of the Plagueis Dark Jedi, a majority vote from the ruling council of the city of Ellesmeria, the city besides which the Plagueis HQ was based, had overruled the port lockdown due to the threat the trading halt posed to the planet’s economy. A frantic search had rewarded Plagueis with a prisoner not of their clan, a bothan who was able to reveal the location of the Mirror, hidden in a cargo crate marked to be carrying wine. Unfortunately, however, the dock had been claimed by Vexon’s forces, and the raid was unsuccessful, however the security team were able to land a tracking device on the ship as it sailed off into the distance, carrying the Mirror of Anor.
During Unification (interlude fiction)
All thoughts on the mirror evaporated from the minds of the Jedi as Plagueis were dragged into the Ninth Great Jedi War, however, a small team of Intelligence operatives were ordered to stay behind on Kapsina, their mission to locate the mirror by the time they finished. The clan summit themselves had entrusted a Givin mathematician, Koor’fen, with the leadership of the group, directing a team of agents across the galaxy, while he and his less than talented human assistant searched for leads from the safety of Kapsina.
Weeks of searching had proven fruitless, and with the capture of Crask, the Brotherhood’s primary foe in the Ninth Great War, his efforts doubled in vigour and work rate. An idea from Koor’fen resulted in the discovery of an article on a Crime Lord calling herself High Lady Vexon operating from the Tapani Sector. Her empire spanned multiple planets, with a nearly infinite supply source funded by theft and extortion. She had recently taken to selling Jedi and Sith artefacts at high prices to pay for a feared group of Jedi Mercenaries, known as Twilight. The report also confirmed that her newest acquisition was indeed the Mirror of Anor.
The search team was immediately informed to search for a High Lady Vexon, and before long they had narrowed down all possibilities of the location of the Mirror to her gallery, which had been located, however security was too tight for the team to break in and confirm sightings of it. The Lady herself had also been tracked down, due to attend an auction in the Ord Antalaha city of Fort Divin. Two groups of Dark Jedi departed the system, one to bring back the mirror, the other to eliminate Vexon by any means necessary.
