Idwal Erinos is the First Fade serving under Nikola Valtiere of Arcona. He's a specialist in mounted combat and small-arms. He was one of the very early members of the initiative, and an inductee into the Erinos Mandalorian Clan, rather than born into it. As such, he eschews many of their traditions, treading a line very close to dar'manda.
Character History
Idwal was born on the harsh world of Eriadu, a third son of an old house. He grew up destined for the military. However, Eriadu had only recently become a begrudging member of the New Republic, and Idwal grew up surrounded by Anti-Republic sentiment. As soon as he graduated from the military academy on Eriadu, his view turned to the stars, outside the remit of the corrupt New Republic. His travels took him eventually to the Dajorra system, following whispers of an organised military outside the New Republic sphere.
Idwal quickly thrived within the Arconan Armed Forces, racing through SST and TIT before joining the small CAVCOM contingent that the army boasted as a junior officer. He excelled as a Lancer, rising to the rank of Captain before he was noticed by the Erinos. After successfully proving his combat prowess using both his Force Lance and Pistol, he was inducted into the Mandalorian Family. Controversially, he didn't wear full body Beskar like his Mando'a brethren, wearing silvered half-armour for greater maneuverability with a peaked-open faced helm.
Upon his selection to become a member of the Erinos, Idwal caught the eye of Nikola Valtiere. An individual that was skilled in mounted combat was useful to the Dark Jedi, himself a very skilled mounted combatant. Upon his induction into the Fade inititative, Valtiere told Idwal that "He could wear what armour he wanted, as long as he looked professional." As such, he settled upon keeping his silvered cuirass and plumed helm, donning a red tunic, white jodhpurs and black cavalry boots, an archaic look that matched the Equite's own.
Physical Description
Idwal is tall and slim, though none would call the man slender. His expression is often neutral or severe, his eyes of slate either flicking over an individual or boring into them with intent. He keeps his brown hair at regulation length. His skin is only marred by a scar on top of his left shoulder, a relic of a 'tilt' he lost. When out of combat, he wears an archaic-looking uniform of a red tunic with white sash, white jodhpus and black cavalry boots, his peaked helmet obscuring his eyes, strap resting under his lower lip.
Specialisation
- Mounted Combat - Idwal is a master of the Force Lance, especially when upon his Aratech speederbike. His years in CAVCOM have forged him into an exceptional cavalry officer.
- Pistols - As an officer, Idwal became very competent at making use of the small arms that he was expected to use as a member of the Lancers, becoming a crack shot whilst on the move at speed.
