The S.E.E.R. is a device inherited by Clan Odan-Urr and one of its varied artifacts, and is used to boost the sensory capabilities of the user over long distances.

Appearance and Effects

The appearance of the S.E.E.R. is of a metallic stylised skull cap, which is fitted neatly onto the head of those using it. Able to rework itself to the cranial proportions, this means that it can easily be used regardless of species or cybernetic implants. Coloured copper-gold and with little visible circuitry, its seemingly simplistic design belies its extreme strengths.

Its impact with those with and without a strong link to the Force are very different. Those without a link can utilize it to greatly enhance their vision, and giving them a zoom functionality to pick out details at long ranges. Those with a link to the Force can use it to vastly boost what they can sense over extreme ranges, to the point of picking out details within the same star system; of note the presence, emotions, and even Force strength and alignment of beings within that region.

History

The S.E.E.R. was created many years ago by an unnamed practitioner of Mechu-Deru, as a fantastical solution to an apparently mundane task. The device was constructed purely to assist with farming work. This was done in order to detect faults in farming equipment along with picking out the lifeforce of crops over long ranges. While adequate to this use, it proved to be vastly more effective than predicted.

The exact history of the item between its owner's creation and later employment is unknown, but it eventually found its ways into the hands of Clan Odan-Urr, and was employed as an observation device for use within the Kiast system.
