Facilities
Accessible via a private landing pad with regular shuttles from Arx, the main facility is a simple staging center with spartan hallways and a lone droid receptionist. Cleaning and maintenance staff work around the clock as the facility is always opened. To gain access, however, requires multi-factor authentication for verification of Brotherhood member status. A small segment of the Inquisitorius already helps monitor the Arx Minor for any threats, and has added the LTF to its scope.
Mess Area
There is a rotating chef that helps prepare balanced meals and drinks.
Rehabilitation Center
A local doctor is on hand to help members that are rehabilitating from injuries. State of the art sports medicine equipment and bacta treatments.
Simulation Training Center
Hexagonal metal plating greets you as you enter the Training Center. Along the far wall is a series of lockers for accessing additional equipment not owned or needed, as well as a vending machine for quick snacks or drinks. On the opposite side are a set of four transparisteel windows that offer visibility both ways into the Observation area.
The Observation area features three large format vidscreens with consoles for seeing various "camera angles".
All functions of the facility are voice-operated and answered by the facilities AI.
Simulation Grid
The marque feature of the Lunar Training Facility, however, is the newly designed Simulation Grid. The large cubic grid takes up the majority of the room. Using cutting edge holo-projector technology and research advancements gleaned from the study of the Children of Mortis' Force crystals, it has the ability to fully simulate any location in the Brotherhood's database, covering a range of terrains from deserts and marshes to spaceships and water worlds.
There are additional features for expanded terrains where the grid can be lowered to a subterranean level for more operating space.
Damage Protection
Thanks to the advancements in technology, the Simulation Grid can emulate real combat by allowing any weapon and even the Force itself to be used without restraint. Limiters activate to prevent permanent damage, and upon exiting the Simulation Grid, no injuries are retained.
With that said, the technology is very new and considered experimental. There are some rare scenarios where a "bleed" affect might cause lingering echos of either phantom injuries or in very rare cases an actual scar left behind.
C3D3 "CD"
A sibling to EDI, the Brotherhood's advanced AI, C3D3 is an artificial intelligence that runs the Simulation Training Center. Calling himself "Cee Dee" for reasons that seem to amuse him, C3D3 has the ability to run advanced formula and calculations that enable him to operate the complex technology in the Simulation Grid. As a result of his self-aware competence, he does tend to come off as a bit smug and mildy grating.
