Held as a sacred planet of the Ancient Sith Empire, Krayiss II once rivaled even Korriban for the thirst of Dark Side users. Found in the Outer Rim, shrouded in the remote Sith Worlds region of the Stygian Caldera nebula, the Krayiss System lies along the Nache Bhelfia hyperlane of the Esstran Sector. Along with Zoist, Kar Delba, Rhelg, and Korriban; Krayiss II once served as the heart of the Ancient Sith Empire. It was here that all manner of dark side users would come to learn how to press the limits of the dark side through all manner of experiments. Yet, by 14,000 BBY the planet laid abandoned as its knowledge and secrets disappeared under the sands of its hostile terrain.

Later on, over the course of ten thousand years, Krayiss II would come to be visited by many individuals on pilgrimage for its Sith Library-Temple. However, it wasn't until 34 ABY when the One Sith arrived that process was made. Yet, due to attacks on territories and attempts made on the lives of Dark Jedi Brotherhood's members, the planet would become an early battleground for the colliding Dark Side organizations.
