John Stevenson was the second of four children of Caroline (Seamstress) and Willard C Stevenson. (owner of a refrigeration company). Stevenson is of both Sith and Native Yavin heritage. He grew up in middle class area in Western Naboo called Wyrmfield. John attended the Sith High Academy located in the Wyrmfield. He got the nickname "MacDonner" because of an accident he sustained while riding his speeder on MacDonner’s Idle a small moon off Yavin 4. John Demonstrated a keen prowess with heavy weapons during his tenure at the academy. Stevenson was a spendthrift and spent a lot of credits on a house, speeders and jewelry; leading to his family’s near bankruptcy in his early twenties.
Luckily, in his thirties John became famous for his stellar performance at the Yavin Galatic Olympics winning Neutronium 4 times during the games setting an unprecedented record that still stands. Stevenson parlayed his achievements into a career as a mercenary.
