Clan Okami

Assets

Clan Okami’s main headquarters is on the Kaerls Ice Moon, there is also a smaller settlement for training and other Clan Okami affairs on the same moon. Lastly a training facility on the planet of Solyiat in Widreth. The Okami Clan’s main flagship is a Quasar Fire-class Cruiser Carrier called the Jörmungandr fully outfitted with two squadrons of RZ-2 A-wing Interceptors called the White Wolves.

Roots of the Clan

The Okami are Mandalorians who are extremely conservative in their adherence to the resol'nare. As such, they try to live as simply as they can in environments other groups would find hostile, believing that a luxurious lifestyle leads to weak warriors. The Clan doesn't reject technology outright however, being just as advanced as any other Mando clans, keeping to their warrior roots. The leader of the Clan is given the title Patriarch/Matriarch and is elected by the elders until they can no longer serve or are unfit to follow the Mandalorian Canons of Honor. They have a special relationship with a local species of wolf like creatures on Widreth, Solyiat, the Strolik, that they both hunt and keep as companions. The warrior's rite of passage involves hunting one of these creatures with a favored simple melee weapon of the younglings choice. The pelt of their kill and any fellow warriors pets who have died in combat are worn over their Mando armor in an almost spiritual reverence while keeping to the Manda by burning their fallen in mass.

Outsiders Joining the Okami

Just as the young of the Okami comes to hone their skills and learn to live off the land. It’s also the starting point for the long dangerous journey to the Stroliks natural habitat in the northern forests of Widreth then back to the training facility on Solyiat. That others may take in order to prove their worth to the Clan and join its ranks. Outsiders would normally fly to the forest, but to be apart of the Clan you must not only survive the hunt, the initiate must also survive the journey there and back with the pelt of their kill through the grueling six day journey then face off in a hand to hand combat circle to first blood by a fellow clan member.
