The individual behind the persona of Kharoc Garrlan (and formerly Kant Lavar), James Stephens is a U.S. Army veteran, currently working in the field of private security.

Personal History

U.S. Army award ribbons

Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, he joined the United States Army in 2005 as an intelligence analyst, and served with units of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade out of Fort Bliss, Texas. He deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008, and was honorably discharged from the service in 2009. He resides in the Metro Detroit area today.

Hobbies

Regular games played include Star Trek Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Lavar also does sci-fi costuming, including but not limited to Star Wars as part of the Rebel Legion. He has done costumes from Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and the 2004 remake of Battlestar Galactica.
