Commander of the Guard (CoG)—The Commander of the Guard is solely responsible for the Grand Master’s Royal Guard. The leader of this elite group of members, the Commander of the Guard works to ensure that there is activity and opportunity for advancement for Guard members. He decides on the conditions for membership and oversees the activity of each elite group to ensure that the Guard lives up to its high standards.

Generally
- Works with the Grand Master and Headmaster to ensure that the Royal Guard fits properly within the vision of the Brotherhood
- Responsible for the coordination of all Guard activity within the Brotherhood
Guard
- Develops and maintains the requirements for becoming and staying a member of the Guard
- Recruits new Guard members and approves or denies admission requests
- Develops and maintains a system for advancement within the Guard
- Regularly Awards members of the Guard for activity
- Develops and maintains the Guard Codex of rules, policies and other information
- Runs regular activities for members of the Guard to participate in
- Occasionally runs large-scale events or ties the Guard into Brotherhood-wide events
- Responsible for the distribution of Elite Clusters of Fire to members
- Responsible for the fictional development of the Guard
- Develops and maintains the Grand Master’s Royal Guard website
