- "I can feel your Living Force out of balance, Miss. You need to enhance your calm. I find in times of stress I often turn to tea. Have you tried herbal remedies?"
- ―Nejj Ithurinos
Nejj Ithurinos (pronounced nedge ee-th-er-in-os), is a self-proclaimed master of his 'Golden Path' based on the ancient teachings of the Jedi Order. Beyond this, he appears as an unassuming Zeltron living a carefree life. That is, until he gets talking and trying to demonstrate how to be a 'good person'. His zen-like demeanor can be a source of entertainment or consternation in equal measure, but that's not gonna slow him down.
History
One Man's Loss Is Another's Gain
There isn't much to say about Nejj's early life. He was born to a typical Zeltron family—if 3 sisters and 2 brothers counted as typical—surrounded by the hedonism that was so prevalent in Zeltros culture. What changed for Nejj was when one of the many patrons of Zeltros made an ante they couldn't win back. Included in that loss were a variety of researcher's journals exploring the philosophies of the defunct Jedi Order. Nejj's curiosity, and boredom, played equal parts in his consumption of the journals. It was then his impressionable young mind decided it had found his calling in life.
As soon as he was old enough, Nejj parted ways with his large family and started taking odd jobs for spacers. Anything to get out into the greater galaxy. As he gathered more information, becoming a researcher of Jedi lore in his own right, Nejj honed his body to be able to survive the challenges that the galaxy had to offer. It was truly very different from Zeltros, where security would handle most altercations. Nejj had to be able to defend himself. In the process of refining his capabilities, the young Zeltron also endeavored to practice the philosophies and methods he had been learning. This awakened his latent Force abilities—in rather unexpected fashion, and to his embarrassment, as he caused more than insignificant damage with his lack of control.
Insatiable as he was, Nejj never faltered in his quest to improve himself and the knowledge he was acquiring. He came to feel it was his responsibility to pass that improvement on. To be the catalyst of change for the galaxy he had found to be so harsh. So, in his naivete, this became his driving force beyond merely his own growth.
Physical Description
Appearance
Nejj isn't the tallest person in any room, but he's certainly above average. With flexible limbs, he has shoulders drawn slightly wider than his hips and a heavily toned frame. His skin is drawn tight across his musculature due to a low percentage of body fat, betraying his athletic predisposition if the abs didn't give it away. The visible musculature is toned and well-defined, easily flexing beneath his unblemished orange-red skin. His right arm is covered in dark ink, swirling through runes and lines calling back to ancient symbols of the Jedi Order that crawl from his wrist up towards his neck and across half his chest.
Focusing on Nejj's face will reveal a youthful gaze without a hint of scruff. His yellow eyes are spread apart evenly and set shallow in his head, making his features softer. His purple hair is short, yet messy with its curly nature increasing that fact. Add it all together and he can be described as somewhat "baby faced".
Attire
Nejj's clothing reflects his zen-like martial focus. At the base level, he wears a sleeveless bodysuit with a turtleneck collar, primarily accented with a pale lavender color and black paneling along the sides. A black, cross-strop belt is held with a silver clasp around his waist, tethering his dark grey pants made of a thin, lightweight material that is tucked into light grey boots bound tightly with straps around his lower legs.
