The Corsair is a Majestic-class Heavy Cruiser and the second vessel to bear the name. The ship was acquired by Clan Tarentum in 27 ABY when it reorganized its Navy after the Battle of Antei.
Role
Majestic-class Heavy Cruisers have the ability to fire their main guns at a range greater than any other cruiser. As such, the Corsair serves as the lead ship of the line in formation, engaging and pounding enemy cruisers from extreme range as the other ships of the Task Force close in.
History
This is the second ship in Tarentum's Navy to carry the name Corsair. The previous ship was the Victory-class Star Destroyer Corsair.
