Pirate raid of their small village. Most were killed, the rest were taken as slaves.

Taken as a Slave

Life as a slave, hardships and horrors

Ris Calil

Made a friend named Ris who helped her survive. Ris teaches her how to fight and to trust no one.

Quite a Mercenary

Ris sees a way to escape, but it means betraying Kern. Kern fights back and turns Ris in for the bounty on her head. Her captives are impressed.

Earning Freedom

Kern's owners allow her to start working for them to pay off her own value. She is a natural, brutal and ruthless in her approach to every job they give her. She's easily going to earn her freedom.

The Double Cross

She's too profitable for the slavers, though, who keep mocking up reasons to tack on to what she owns. The last time they true to do this, Kern shows up with friends. They kill the slavers, set free the rest of the slave, and Kern steals the Cortosis Lancer, a custom built freighter owned by the slaver, as her own.
