This page contains the official policies regarding Brotherhood activities managed by the Emissary and their staff.
Social Media Content Policies
- Member submissions for use on the Brotherhood's official social nedia accounts will normally be collected via the #highlights channnel on Discord.
- Most content posted to Brotherhood social media accounts will be produced by Brotherhood members.
- Members may also submit Brotherhood-related content they didn't create themselves, such as commissioned art featuring their Brotherhood character, provided it meets the following conditions:
- The member must have the legal right to grant permission for the Brotherhood to use the work in question. This is to make sure the DJB doesn't face legal liability for reposting content without permission.
- In cases like commissioning an artist to draw a character, permission won't normally be an issue; creators who work on commission typically include the rights to use the work as part of the finished product.
- The creator must be clearly identified in a way that allows us to credit them, ideally with at least one social media or website link provided. This is both to make sure the club supporting creators, and to avoid legal liability for using a creator's work without crediting them.
- When a piece is chosen to be posted on the Brotherhood's social media accounts, the member who submitted it will receive a Dark Side Scroll.
- If the creator of the selected piece is also a member of the Brotherhood and weren't paid in real money for the piece, they may also receive a Dark Side Scroll.
- Members may not receive a Dark Side Scroll for any content for which they also received money.
- Members who both create and submit a given piece will only receive one Dark Side Scroll.
