"I'm getting my turtleneck. I'm not defusing a bomb in this!"
―Agent Archer

Agent Archer Sterling is a member of the Taldryan Intelligence Directorate. Somewhat of a maverick, Agent Sterling is best known for his wild antics and for pushing the envelope of respectable behavior, while still getting results. Agent Sterling works closely in hand with the members of the Old Folks' Home, who speak quite highly of his work and lifestyle.

History Overview

"God, everything makes you uncomfortable. Just the tip?"
―Archer

Rather than a huge list of headings covering every year of his/her life, we summarize it with 2-3 paragraphs covering birth, military career, tal fleet.

Physical Description

"Do you not see me rocking this chiseled slab of hard man body? I mean, come on! Are you gay or not?"
―Archer, attempting the honey pot
Archer undercover

Archer Sterling is a tall, muscular man in his late thirties. He has a head of thick, luxurious black hair that's kept short and stylish, and offers an unobstructed view at his baby blue eyes. His rugged good looks and athleticism make him a both a highly skilled field agent, but also a natural-born lady killer.

A bit of a throwback to an earlier generation, Sterling generally wears bespoke suits of charcoal or grey during the day, and tuxedos after dark (he's not a farmer after all). Archer's clothing, hand stitched by his trusty manservant Woodhouse, shows off his physique and personal sense of style. On missions, however, he favors his highly tactical, black turtleneck sweater (tacktleneck), which helps give him an edge in dangerous situations involving firefights or explosives. Sterling is also a master at the art of disguise, quickly and

easily assuming the identities of others merely by beating people up and exchanging his own clothes for theirs.

Personality and traits

"Can I offer you a drink? How about this expensive prostitute?"
―Archer

As a human being, Archer Sterling leaves much to be desired. He is known by most to be a major asshole and is difficult, if not impossible, to deal with. His laundry list of personality flaws include egotism, narcissism, womanizing, misogyny, and alcoholism. He refuses to play by anyone's rules but his own and tends to act first without thinking things through... or thinking at all. A lot of the blame for these traits can possibly laid at the feet of his personal life and the upbringing he received from his caustic and semi-abusive mother, whom he has a strange love/hate relationship with.

However, somehow these many, many, many flaws mix together to create a very capable and highly skilled field operative. Agent Sterling is found to be highly intuitive and reckless in his bravery in the face of danger. Though he has limited ability with analysis or "office work", there is no better agent in the Directorate. He also gets along quite well with members of the Old Folks' Home, which says a great deal about the type of person he is.
