T6-453, Tim, is the current Ground Commander of the MJHC Retribution of House Marka Ragnos.
Character History
T6-453 used to be his name. For as long as he could remember he was a designation, an idea. One of the white faced terrors of the Galactic Empire and nothing more. T6-453 was a faceless entity that struck fear into the hearts of all those who dared question the will of the Empire, he killed rebels, civilians who disagreed with his master's plans and just those who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. T6-453 was a number and nothing more. One of millions, one of countless legions that strode across the galaxy at the height of the Empire's power. T6-453 went by the name Tim now.
Tim was born on Corellia and like many children he enjoyed life and did nothing but praise the Empire for their safety and security. How the Emperor in his benevolence was his true leader and should anyone dare question the beliefs or ideals then he should report them and did so on many occasions after all he was a model soldier and a proud member of the Empire. That was the rhetoric pumped into his head and that's all he was made to remember. He had no family and he had no life beyond service to his benefactor. He can’t even recall the laughter he once had when he was young nor what it was like to simply be something more than what he was. A killer.
He served during numerous campaigns, upon Hoth as an auxiliary, he spent time on Bespin during the cloud city trap and barely made it out of the the battle of Endor when he was transferred back to Coruscant to ensure the will of the Emperor was manifest whilst he was visiting the second death star. This was his duty and to him it was a privilege to serve. After all what else was there if not service. Without service he was nothing, without service he was obsolete and no longer worthy of existing. He often shuddered as the flashbacks invaded his dreams and daydreams. He often had to take time to himself to simply get past the fear and hatred of what he once did.
After the fall of the Empire he was conscripted into a splinter group that wished to carry on the will of the Emperor but without the coherent leadership the feelings of something more would flood his and several other Stormtroopers minds. It got the point that the conditioning drilled into them failed so completely they awoke as if from an endless nightmare and when it happened to him he screamed. During a conflict in the outer rim territories he fled his post and along with three others made his way into the wilderness of the planet and hid. He hoped beyond all hope they would not search for him and no one came. They had faced New Republic forces and were losing badly, his fellow troopers lay upon the ground around him as he made his way across the battlefield and disappeared into the dense undergrowth.
Two days passed and having had enough of rations the small band of Stormtroopers made their way to the local village, helmets off and hands in the air. They were arrested on the spot and sent to a detention centre for questioning. They knew nothing, they simply followed orders and they relayed their entire lives as best they could but they all ended up telling the same story more or less. Only the planets of their origins differed. They were incarcerated for a time under medical watch once it was discovered they could no longer do anything else and once they were deemed fit for release they were. It had only taken two years and surprisingly they had been treated well. More victims of a corrupt regime than anything else. They helped Tim build some semblance of life for himself. Gave him a new identity and new beginning and even somewhere to stay whilst he tried to get back on his feet.
He found it hard to adjust to being a civilian so soon left the planet and made his way to the one place he knew he would be able to find work for someone of his skill set. He wound up on Nar Shaddaa and like many of his capabilities fell in with a local crime lord. For what it was worth he hated it and only lasted a few months before he decided pushing lowlife around for someone else wasn't’t for him. It was then he met Teras d’Kala a traveling Mandalorian.
Teras was impressed by the Imperials skills and offered to take him along on her newest hunt. The target had proved to be elusive and he figured another gun would do her the world of good. Profits would be split 50/50 and if she was impressed he might push to have Tim come along with her. The ex-stormtrooper had nothing to lose so he said yes. They successfully hunted the target and like the Mandalorian promised the credits were split. From there on then they were inseparable as they traveled the outer rim worlds hunting targets. Giving time he managed to learn more about her people and her culture and at her urging they traveled to Mandalore where he swore an oath and undertook some trials. Once passed he swore to uphold the Mandalorian traditions and so it was he came Mando.
The two kept pretty close to one another and within a year and a half, they were wed. Husband and wife hunting through the galaxy may have brought a few laughs when they entered the local cantinas for quiet drinks but no one dared question their skills. They wanted challenges and it just so happened a posting came up with a large sum of money involved. So unwilling to turn down a large paycheck they took the job and discovered the issues that entailed.
They were to hunt down a rogue Dark Jedi for the Dalarit military. An organization they had heard brief whispers off but never anything more. They knew the risk they faced so took no chances when they pursued their target. The conflict came and they survived, barely. He was missing an arm and her face had been scarred permanently by the Jedi’s saber. But they were alive. They needed to return the body to Naga Sadow so wound up heading to the Orion System, after being patched up of course. A new arm for Tim and surgery to attempt at minimizing the damage for Teras.
As they arrived the system was on the verge of warfare. Fleets of ships maneuvered, battalions of troopers made ready as the onset of the Great Jedi War was upon them. Not wanting to stay longer than was necessary the couple delivered their target, got their money and were attempting to leave when a Dalarit military officer approached them and pulled them to the side. They were offered an extremely large sum of credits if they would stay and assist in training the newer troopers in how to handle They agreed but ended up wound up in the conflict anyway as they moved across battlefields protecting their charges and coming to terms with what they had signed up for.
He saw the troopers as he was in the early years of his life. But he also saw them as people, the Clan he noticed saw their Warhost as people and not just numbers to throw away. So he fought harder than he would've regardless of the credits. His wife seeing the gusto in her husband's eyes fought right alongside them and they cut swaths of destruction across the combat fields as they engaged the forces of the other clans. When the War ended and Pravus ascended they swore there would be more to their life than a paycheck and even turned down the credits offered to them.
They asked instead to stick around, be put somewhere of use to serve the Clan as they had just done and protected the youngsters. They felt obligated and we're damned if anyone was going to take any more lives under their watch. Though strictly prohibited for members of the forces to be in a relationship and work together they worked out a further deal in that they would go where they were needed and as long as they were given bed and board, a fair paycheck and were allowed to stay with one another they would undertake any job given to them extra free of charge.
With enough badgering they got what they wanted and found themselves aboard the MJHC Retribution. Surrounded by aliens and those deemed undesirable they figured these were their children and they would protect them and train them. They were unofficially granted the ranks of Major in the Dalarit Navy and after a while officially granted as the work they managed to do with the green troops was damn good and they didn’t want to see the pair leave. They knew their commander was a Jedi, they knew the ship was becoming a Sanctuary and they didn’t care. They fought for their reasons and never looked back.
