- "So let me get this right, you wanted to impress me by using a protocol droid as a doll in order to get us better acquainted with the local predators on a first date...?"
- ―Calindra Hejaran
Calindra Hejaran is a noble woman from one of Alderaan’s remote colony world of Tepasi II. She was born into the Alderaani nobility through the Hejaran family line. Unbeknown to her, however, Calindra's mother is a direct descendant of the Tipani noble house Mecetti whose bloodline had served countless of Sith lords over the millenia. Recruited by Scholae Palatinae, she has served House Imperium since her indoctrination into the order, and serves as a member of the judging panel for the Antei Combat Center and Antei Contract Bureau.
Character History
Early Life
Both the Hejaran and Mecetti lines are strong in the Force, which was why the Dark Council had allowed the pairing of the two lines, despite House Hejaran's disappointing support for the Jedi order. It was secretly hopped and encouraged that the Hejaran children would espouse more imperialistic values.
Luckily, their father had accepted that the children be schooled in warfare and martial arts, as much as business management, galactic trade and planetary economy, which would see his children serve in leadership positions within any organization, but her mother constantly refused to let his daughter participate in boardroom discussions or ride with the hunting parties...
"Those are a man's pastime. It doesn't matter if you studied those thing... They'll never accept you as one of them."
What she didn't know was that her mother had manipulated her father in excluding Calindra from the boardrooms, and even the hunt he had prepared for her sixteenth birthday. Never being one to mince her words, Calindra confronted her father. "Your mother and I think you're still a bit too young to go off on a hunt... I'm sorry," he had said and all her protest had been gently shot down. The refusal had chaffed and her resentment (to her mother's pleasure) had fueled Calindra's anger for several days afterwards, especially when her own brother had been allowed to ride along.
