U.S. Army award ribbonsGrowing up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, he joined the United States Army in 2005 as an intelligence analyst, and served with units of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade out of Fort Bliss, Texas. He deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008, and was honorably discharged from the service in 2009. He resides in the Metro Detroit area today.
