A Shadicar is a member of the Shadesworn who has dedicated their life to the shadows and the way of the Assassin. It is a title that goes beyond a simple name, showing that a character has passed their necessary trials to become one of the Galaxy’s top Assassins. A Shadicar understands fully the responsibility that comes with taking a life, and the removal of bias it requires. Killing is just another action like eating or breathing; a natural progression of nature.
Shadicar do not have “targets” or “marks”, as both can imply the potential for failure. Shadicar only have kills, the term applied to anyone they are tasked with eliminating. Each Shadicar has a unique talent within their craft that they specialize in.
Current Shadicar:
Talents
- Awareness (Supported by high Precognition/Perception)
- Disguise (Supported by high Subterfuge, Faceless Feat)
- Poison (supported by a Lore Topic)
- Deceit (Manipulation, Empathy)
- Stealth (Supported by Ghosting/Force Cloak)
- Distance (Supported by Range Weapons/Force Cloak)
Shadicar Awareness
Arcona’s Shadicar are regarded the deadliest assassins in the Galaxy, and Marick Arconae has proven time and again to be their best. As a direct result of his dedication to this lifestyle, Marick unconsciously checks every corner, entry-way, and exit of any room he enters, assessing the threats they could present. Similarly, he instinctively analyzes and breaks down anyone that enter his immediate awareness to the smallest detail. He notes how they walk, their posture, and not just what they are wearing on their person but how they wear it. These details allow him to mechanically pin-point weakness or flaws in an opponent. While this gives Marick an edge in single-combat, it loses its effectiveness when faced against multiple opponents and on a crowded battlefield. He would sooner tackle an enemy leader one on one than try and fight through a squadron of soldiers.
Shadicar Distance Combatant
In the Shadicar, each member approaches the hunt differently, with Nadrin being one of the cadre's foremost ranged killers. Where some like to get up close, Nadrin prefers to stay as far back as possible, blending into the shadows and keeping himself out of sight through effective use of the Force and some good old fashioned hiding. When it comes to fighting, Nadrin will create as much distance as he can so as to fight in his own preferred way, and if he is stuck in close combat with several people at once he can quickly become overwhelmed and very much out of his element.
Shadicar Stealth Combatant
Arcona’s Shadicar are widely regarded as the deadliest assassins in the Galaxy, though each has a different manner of approaching the hunt. Celevon Edraven is no exception to this. His abilities with Force Cloaking are renowned throughout the Shadow Clan, earning him the nickname ‘Wraith’. He does not utilize this talent while fighting, however, which narrows its uses to navigating obstacles, slipping past patrols and simply avoiding detection on a mission. His tendency to randomly appear and disappear in everyday interactions can also unnerve those who have not become accustomed to it.
Requirements To Become A Shadicar:
- Complete: One (1) S-Class Assassination Contract with Excellent or better
- Have Selected the Assassin Discipline
- Have at least one (1) Custom Aspect dedicated to a Shadicar “Talent”
NOTE: You do not have to be a Shadicar to be an Assassin. You can go and kill people as you want, nothing is stopping you. This is purely a fictional title, and only comes into play for those wishing to fully dedicate their time to role-play an Assassin. It grants no actual bonus other than establishing without question that your character has spent time establishing themselves as an Assassin.
