This is a listing of the various forms of lightsaber combat used in the Star Wars Universe.
The Jedi teach a curriculum of seven forms, consisting of Form Zero, Shii-Cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Djem So, Niman and Vapaad. They rarely tought other forms as fully, and even Vapaad wasn't widely tought among the Jedi. Often, they referred to these forms by their numbers, i.e. Form III is Soresu.
Lightsaber Combat in the Brotherhood is broken down into three categories:
- Core: The easiest forms to study, these forms give a duelist a good insight into Lightsaber Combat. The Core forms are: Shii-Cho, Makashi and Soresu.
