The Young Years 3 ABY - 19 ABY

Tollo was born Lucien Tollus Hejaran II in 3 ABY on the moon of Pella in the Tapani Sector. His father, Baron Lucien Hejaran I, was murdered after discovering his cousin was corrupted by the Dark Side. The details of his father’s death were kept from both him and the rest of Pella. He was raised in nobility, living in his family home, Hejaran Castle. He took an early interest in the saber rakes, Tapani noble youths that dueled with lightfoils. After obtaining a lightfoil of his own, he soon joined the ranks of the saber rakes. He was never trained in dueling but found that he was naturally faster and more agile than the others. Even after lightfoils were banned because of the rise of young nobles needing prosthetics, he continued to be part of this now secret group. He modified his lightfoil to have a secret activation button so he could just claim it was just a prop.

A Pirate's Life For Me 19 ABY - 21 ABY

At age sixteen, he discovered information that his father may have been murdered. When he confronted his mother about this, she told him everything. Furious that he had grown up believing a lie, he ran away and bought his way on to a transport leaving Pella. The ship was attacked by pirates just after leaving the system. The pirate captain found nothing aboard the vessel interesting so he ordered it, and its passengers, destroyed. Tollo stepped forward and challenged the captain to a duel. The deal was set; if the captain wins, he continues as planned, if Tollo wins, they will be set free. Tollo activated his lightfoil and quickly had the captain on the ground. Instead of killing him, he offered him another deal; allow him to join the crew. The captain agreed and Tollo began his life as a pirate.

He spent the next 2 years raiding ships and honing his sword skills. Soon after he turned eighteen, the pirates were captured by the new republic. There was a Jedi aboard the ship that captured them and he instantly sensed the Force in the boy. Jedi Master Doran Vaan request to take charge of the boy was granted and Tollo went with him to the academy.

A Jedi Is Broken 21 ABY - Present

Tollo was on a constant quest for knowledge and spent most of his time in the archives. He could never seem to leave a question unanswered. There he met another young padawan, Asholie. She was from an exotic aquatic world near the outer rim. He had never seen a female so beautiful in his life. The two of them fell in love and swore to marry when they became Jedi. Master Vaan was given an assignment to attend a peace treaty signing between two planets.

A battle erupted during the signing. Master Vaan quickly moved to defend his untrained padawan. As the Jedi was deflecting bolt after bolt from blasters, one hit his hand and sent his lightsaber flying. Tollo saw the saber coming at him and tried to dodge it. Before the blade could deactivate, it glanced the side of Tollo’s face. Doran thought he just witnessed his apprentice’s death and was distracted long enough to be shot in the back.

Tollo awoke to find his master dead and the battle had moved elsewhere. Afraid someone would come to finish him off; he made a break for the planet’s vast wilderness. There he found a stream to clean his wound. Because he had not seen the extent of the damage to his face, he was overcome with horror at what he saw. The flesh was missing from his face on the left side, there was just skull. When he eventually recovered, he began to hunt for food. He realized he was going to need to cover this open area on his face with something so he collected the hide from his previous meals and fashioned a mask.

After a month of seclusion in the wild, he was overcome by emotion. The weight of his master’s death was enormous but it paled in comparison to the thought that Asholie could never love the mangled monster he had became. He felt a call through the Force. Something wanted him to venture out and find it. He fought the urge but it was relentless. Finally he walked out of the wildness and began his trek to answer the call. In no time, he found himself on a transport bound for the Shadow Academy.
