He was able to have a few friends in the academy but not any long lasting relationships. Dathka and the other younglings were given a master “so to speak” that was to help them with their training. His Masters name was Minka Kasear. Minka was a well-known Tactician in the Army. Dathka became very close to him, in the sense of a father whom he never had. He was a great inspiration to Dathka.

On the tour, Dathka learned a lot about the sith and was very interested in the Dark Side of the force. When they went back to the academy, he asked his master some questions about the sith. In addition, he started disrespecting all the teachers and the people over him. They told him that he simply needed to get over it and move on with his life. He grew closer and closer to the dark side. He then remembered, that when they went to the old sith academy. He had found an old scroll, but had forgotten about it. He went back to his room and located it, and started reading it. Dathka started learning how to do simple force moves like, picking up things and then moving them around. When his teachers found out that, he was starting to use the force they punished him, and told him that if he ever did it again while in the academy, he would be kicked out.

Therefore, that is how Dathka came to be in the Dark Brotherhood, learning to be a Dark Jedi Knight.
The Dark Brotherhood
A new Master
When Dathka entered the Dark Brotherhood Academy, it was like nothing he had ever seen before. Its vast halls filled with old sith artifacts, boggled him. They were gestured into a large room, where they found the headmaster. He welcomed them, and told them where to take their things, and when classes would begin. He assigned each of them a clan, and a house. Dathka was placed in clan Arcona. The house of Galeres is where he was to live.
The next day, Dathka meet his Envoy Rho d'Tana for the first time. He was a very nice person who wanted to help Dathka get going in the DB.
After the next days classes were over, he went back to his house and got to know some of the other members. Later Dathka talked to his envoy about getting a master to help him get through his assignments.
The next day Dathka turned in his personal history for review. As he was walking to shadow academy, he met Quejo Drakai Xyler. They talked for a while and then went their separate ways. The later that day he went to see his envoy, and he told Dathka that he found a master that he could work with. Acheron d'Tana was his name. He told Dathka where he could find Acheron, and he left. When Dathka met Acheron, he thought he was a very wise person who been through a lot to get where he is today. Dathka knew Acheron would be able to help him achieve his goals.
So that is how Dathka met and became Acherons apprentice.
