Each Crescent is studded with ancient jewels from the uncovered stores of the warlord Okemi. One to seven jewels, ranging from quartz to diamond, are displayed along the Crescent’s edge dependent upon the jewel’s value. It is believed these jewels still echo with the dark power of Okemi. Those Dark Jedi most active within the Brotherhood possess quite a collection of these awards
