Shay Thelin is in service of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's Holocron Center as a relic hunter.
A pirate life
Before Shay become a relic hunter, she was a pirate in the service of Black Sun. Being of the same species as it's leader, the Falleen had charmed her way to the top and was a fearsome leader on her own. Her history unknown before becoming a member of Black Sun, Shay remained elusive and secretive about her past. What mattered to her was her accomplishments in the name of her new home. Fame and fortune were her only goals, and being a highly successful thief that procured many valuable items for her masters in the crime syndicate, she quickly became the go to person for such activities. When Black Sun was destroyed and disbanded after their leader had been killed during a battle for a skyhook, Shay fled to the outer rim of the galaxy.
Dark Brotherhood
It was by chance that Shay crossed paths with the Brotherhood. Having bought passage on a ship towards Antei, she had presented herself as a security officer, unloading the precious cargo of holocrons and other ancient Sith artifacts into the Holocron Center. Noticing what she was actually handing off, she managed to make a certain artifact dissappear into her pockets unseen, and as she finished unloading the other artifacts she felt a dark presence overwhelm her. She looked around but could not find the source of this cloud that she felt oppressing her. Unknown to her Selika Roh di Plagia had been keeping a careful eye on this peculiar crew member. It was very uncommon for the security detail to help with the unloading of the artifacts, and as she noticed that the Falleen had pocketed a trinket, Selika realized that this thief had more than could be seen by the eye.
The Holocron Tribune walked slowly towards the female Falleen, and used her dark powers to cloud the mind of Shey. This would allow her to confront the thief without the affect of the pheromones the Falleen usually exceeded in order to manipulate or lie their way through conversations.
Service to the Holocron Center
It quickly became clear that Shey Thelin had outstanding talents and was appointed as a relic hunter. The honor debt she owed the Brotherhood for not outright killing her after trying to steal one of their artifacts weighed heavily on the Falleen. However, she took to her new role with fervor, and proved to the Brotherhood that she was a valuable asset to them. Throughout the countless years she has recovered and stolen many artifacts through manipulation and charming the owners of the artifacts. It is rumored that Shay Thelin has broken over a thousand hearts of males and females alike, having catfished each and every one of them for the sole purpose of accomplishing her given tasks.
