Within the table, the class="sub-head" and class="foot" are pulling in Chameleon.css' table.fancy td.sub-head and table.fancy td.foot formatting, respectively, and applying them per-cell. This is probably why I can manually override some of the style attributes at the table and cell level, but putting style attributes at the row level--which ''should'' work per MediaWiki--doesn't do anything.
