Begeren was an ancient Sith world and the site of many conflicts throughout the centuries. Primarily a desert world, Begeren holds a great deal of rich resources, including minerals and gems. Begeren's many ruins and sparse population were a testament both to its harsh climate and how frequently it has changed hands in galactic conflicts. In 38 ABY, the Dark Brotherhood launched an assault on Begeren, attempting to wrest control of the planet from the One Sith.

History

Fading Light

In 38 ABY, as part of a campaign against the One Sith, Brotherhood forces stormed over Begeren, obstensibly to pillage its riches of artifacts and treasures. Though sparsely defended, a few key military installations helped to slow the Brotherhood initially.

The One Sith

The One Sith left Begeren sparsely defended across most of its surface, with only a few notable military installations. The majority of One Sith operations were centered around the Valley of Monuments.

Janni Kuran

Janni Kuran's Character Sheet

Janni Kuran was a One Sith tasked with guarding an underground burial chamber. Following her failure to prevent Brotherhood forces from gaining access to the tomb, she disappeared into the wilds of Begeren.

Synin Torin

Synin Torin's Character Sheet

The Bpfasshi Synin Torin was a One Sith engineer and mechanic and his work on various ion cannon emplacements throughout Begeren kept Brotherhood ships at bay - at least initially. Once Brotherhood forces breached the military facilities around the planet, he and his droid companions fled the planet.

The Three Hunters

Antros, Lanis, and Taron's Character Sheet

The One Sith have pressed into service a wide array of individuals, and not all of them are Force users. On Begeren, Esoteric's forces concentrated primarily in the Valley of Monuments, where the three bounty hunters Antros, Lanis, and Taron could be found. Exactly why they were on Begeren was unknown.

Behind the scenes

Begeren was a planet fought over in the Dark Crusade sequel competition, "Fading Light". All units of the Dark Brotherhood ventured to the One Sith-occupied planet to retrieve ancient Sith relics and artifacts. The competition was based around a large-scale tournament of the Antei Combat Center.
