Born in the lap of luxury. Hagan Sythe was reared by aristocratic politicians on Coruscant, or better known by his family, Imperial City. He had a posh, spoiled, and carefree upbringing but excelled in the Academies of learning with such a knack for dejarik that he became his school’s champion. Positioning, maneuvering, and staying two steps ahead of an opponent; Hagan was a natural strategist. What few know, is that with politics came bottled aggression and anger. Emotions that needed to be released. One way to do this, for his family, was big game trophy hunting. His father, to hobnob with his circle, would typically invite senators and dignitaries on trips to various worlds. Hagan was always a tag along but he learned valuable lessons watching his father. A man who held a militaristic mindset when it came to politics. So much so that he would be installed as an Officer into the Imperial Fleet when the Empire was heavily recruiting during its rise. This came with an all new set of rules and an image that would need to be upheld. Naturally, Hagan pushed back and rebelled when he began illegally racing his Airspeeder in a circuit created by seedier denizens of Coruscant.

Not only did he have an affinity for stratagems, but he was a superb pilot. But even his skills as a pilot couldn’t save him from the unknown. A typical day turned into a nightmare when, during a race, he clipped a transport vessel carrying a high-ranking Imperial which led to their demise. Hagan, in a state of panic, tried to bury the incident by convincing some friends to destroy evidence. However, Imperial Intelligence was able to sift through the wreckage and everything they found pointed to Hagan’s specific personal speeder. When his father caught wind of the incident, after pulling some strings, to replace the dead Officer. Hagan would take his place. If it wasn’t for his tactical mind, he would have been sentenced to the mines of Kessel or worse. The Chief recruiting officer agreed to the terms and Hagan was forced to enlist at the age of eighteen.
